Great hotel owned / managed by local family. Great service and hospitality and amazing view of the beach. And their restaurant is fantastic!! Best curry I’ve ever had.

Excellent place to stay in Mahé. The location is great. The beach is right below you and has long stretching sand and famous granite rocks. The staff was very helpful and nice. Charles is great! He can also arrange transportations/organize tours for you.

Great little hotel

Hotel staff very friendly and welcoming. We chatted to the staff every night over a beer about life on the island etc. The hotel is in a wonderful location and we had the honeymoon room with an amazing view but all rooms have a good view. We stayed in 3 hotels on the island including a 5* and I think Lazare Picault was my favourite. I loved sitting out at night, looking at the stars with the ocean stretching out below. Can't recommend highly enough. A couple of very minor points. A car is probably worthwhile renting as the area is very quiet and if you happen to miss dinner then you don't have any food options but that's a minor inconvenience

You're there for the beach

Hotel has a fantastic view of the water and perfect for sitting out at sunset with a beer in hand. It is located in the southern part of Mahe and a distance from everything...and that is not a bad thing. The breakfast is not fantastic, but you will live. The room has no duvet or blanket, just a sheet. The room doesn't have blackout curtains so you are up by 8am. Ultimately, after 4 trips to Seychelles, you are looking for a decent place to sleep. This is the place. You go to bed by 9 PM and up by 8 AM to explore nature and play in the water. If you are looking for a resort that you don't leave, has all the amenities, and a restaurant. This is not the place. You need to pay for that and on Seychelles that is big $$$.

Lazare Picault

Downmarket, but all the facilities you need. Fantastic position overlooking the beach, good snorkling (coral and reef fish). Friendly and helpful staff. Here you experience the real Seychelles - a nature paradise with poor but friendly people.

Very Pleasantly Surprised!

My wife and I stayed a total of five nights at Lazare Picault Hotel and were pleasantly surprised by the service from the moment we arrived, to the stunning view of the bay, to the cleanliness of the rooms. Breakfasts and suppers were also superb, in fact if we ever return to Mahe we will book with them again. It is a bit out of the way, being at the other end of the Island, but bus service is very close to the hotel or if one is able to rent a car, it is well worth the stay if one is looking for a secluded spot with a lovely beach.

Personale + venlige og smilende Morgenmad Ok. Bestod af toastbrÞd, Êg efter eget valg, ost, kÞdpÄlÊg og blandet frugt samt nogle sÞde sager sÄsom crepes, banana fritters og sandkage. Beliggenhed + smuk udsigt over Baie Lazare ! Obs pÄ mange trapper, som yderligere er ekstra hÞje end typiske trapper i Europa VÊrelse - Seng/madras er virkelig dÄrlig og hÄrd Det er en springmadras uden topmadras, sÄ man ligger direkte pÄ fjedrene. - Man har eget tekÞkken men ingen ovn eller stegeblus + aircon + fantastisk udsigt + privatliv

Nettes, etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel

GrundsĂ€tzlich sei vorweg gesagt, dass das Hotel einfach vor ca 30 Jahren modern war! Die Dusche und die Toilette sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, das Bett ist eher hart! Wlan gibt es leider nicht flĂ€chendecken- das soll alles in den kommenden Jahren umgesetzt werden! FamiliĂ€r gefĂŒhrt- sehr liebevolle und bemĂŒhte Mitarbeiter, die gerne unterstĂŒtzen! Der Strand und er Ausblick auf selbigen sind sogar fĂŒr die Seychellen extra wunderbar! FrĂŒhstĂŒck durchaus gut, am Strand gibt es ein Restaurant, in dem gute kreolische KĂŒche genossen werden kann!

Tolle Aussicht aber zu laut und veraltet

Als positive Punkte sind großrĂ€umige Zimmer mit toller Aussicht und das FrĂŒhstĂŒck mit viel Obst zu nennen. Negativ ist die recht laute Hauptstraße, die direkt unterhalb des Hotels fĂŒhrt. Die gesamte Anlage wirkt veraltet. Das Internet funktioniert nur im Lobbybereich.

Veel privacy en prachtig uitzicht

Losse apartementen met balkon en altijd uitzicht op de baai. Prima ontbijt met fruit, toast, ei, muesli, kaas, worst, koffie, thee, sap. Wifi alleen in de lobby, maar reikt ook tot aan een deel van de kamers. In de burt is niet zoveel te doen, maar de bushaltes zijn dichtbij.

Correcto en una localizaciĂłn encantadora

Es un lugar encantador y los servicios propios que puedes esperar de un alojamiento de 2**. Importante destacar que el hotel es incompatible para personas de movilidad reducida, ya que hay grandes escalones, rampas/desniveles, escaleras, etc... Por lo demĂĄs y teniendo en cuenta el coste de vida en Seychelles la relaciĂłn precio/calidad es la correcta. Tambien podrĂ­a mejorar la variedad en el desayuno. El personal cumple con su funciĂłn: ni mĂĄs ni menos. A tener en cuenta que en la zona no hay opciones de Restaueantes, Bares, Ocio... con lo cual serĂĄ imprescindible disponer de un vehĂ­culo para moverse.

Wir hatten 6 NĂ€chte gebucht und wahren sehr zufrieden. Das Hotel hat einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf die BaieLazare, die sehr angenehm ruhig und einladend zum verweilen ist mit einem tollen Sonnenuntergang. Es ist vielleicht nicht die beste Bucht zum baden aber wers romantisch mag ist da genau richtig. Ein Auto ist von Vorteil da es eher abgelegen liegt. Die Zimmer haben alle Meerblick und bieten fĂŒr den Preis alles was man braucht. Der Service war gut und das FrĂŒhstĂŒcksbuffet war reichhaltig und fĂŒr den Preis gut.
