This is my idea of the perfect hotel. It was beautiful, had so much character and life. The bar and restaurant area seemed to always have something going on and was a fun place to hang out. The room areas were nice and quiet. We barely saw or heard another guest even though it was booked. Staff were always cleaning and everyone was so nice and helpful. Our trip to Manchester was fabulous and staying in this hotel was the best part of a wonderful vacation.

Great stay - excellent hotel!

We had a fantastic stay at the Kimpton – easily my favourite hotel in Manchester. The building is stunning and beautifully restored, with a great central location. Staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive throughout. Our room, tucked away on its own subfloor, was stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up for a relaxing stay – from quality tea and coffee options to fresh milk in the fridge and bath salts in the bathroom. The complimentary wine and beer hour between 5–6pm was a classy touch, and we really appreciated the generous midday checkout and bottled water for the road. A brilliant experience from start to finish.

Fascinating "eclectic Gothic" building--unique in our experience--in a great location to walk central Manchester. Close to theatres, art museums and the central library. Roomy room. Sad our schedule didn't allow us to avail of free drinks, 5-6pm daily. Dining a bit too noisy for us, with music all evening till 11pm.
