This hotel stay was truly disappointing, primarily due to its inconvenient and desolate location; although it appears near the main city on a map, it is situated so deep in a back area that getting in and out is a major issue, making it unadvisable for travelers unless they drive. The experience began poorly as the check-in process was troublesome—the staff could not find our booking, and the front desk displayed a complete lack of professionalism, offering service worse than a budget hotel. For a hotel that is allegedly only one year old, the lousy upkeep makes it look and feel like it has been neglected for a decade. The rooms themselves were the most shocking part, as they were dirty and contaminated with extensive white mold found on the walls, furniture, and even on the bed. Even after changing rooms, the conditions remained just as bad. Furthermore, the large space shown in the photographs felt empty and lacked basic amenities: there was no TV, no refrigerator, the AC remote was broken, and only a kettle with water bottles (no coffee or tea) was provided. The hotel's surroundings match its interior, with all the downstairs shops abandoned and deserted, creating an atmosphere so inconvenient and unsettling it resembles a set for a horror or apocalyptic movie. Overall, I will not return to this property.

Granted we were about an hour before breakfast closes, all the food was cold. Not very good. The rest of the stay was decent. A few tiny roaches but only 2 or 3 and very small, no big ones.

We had a lot of mishaps during our stay here. The property looks newish but a lot of problems already that is not addressed. There were cochroaches! I killed 5 (in 2 days!) and when i told Hskpeeing, they brought an insecticide spray and sprayed while we were inside! We had to step out to get the fumes off! The housekeeper also did not clean and make our room on Day 1 and when I asked why, she said we did not tell them. There was no ‘clean my room sign’ until we asked for it! On our 2nd to last day, our room door won’t open (maintenance spent long to try to fix it) but after 45 mins we insisted they give us another room- what a hassle to move our stuff when we had plans during the day! They also Missed us twice on the set breakfast but we got it when we showed up on the restaurant anyway. No buffets when there are less than 10 guests we were told. When we needed to be picked up from airport, nobody was answering the phone. I got the Whatsapp message from the driver when we have arrived at the site after arranging own transpo. The drywall is showing some damage near bathroom flr maybe due to moisture. The hot water is hit or miss. The internet is spotty (even with own data). You cannot walk to the hotel. The area is gated and only cabs or Grab can get to it (or private car). The staff were nice and accommodating though but I still won’t recomemend.

Good hotel

The Golden Seagull Hotel was a bit of a maze to find when we took a Grab. There were no clear signs inside the subdivision, which made it difficult to locate. The service was good, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. However, the breakfast wasn’t great — the food was cold, and there weren’t many options. The rooms were extremely spacious, which we loved, and the washrooms were massive and clean. Unfortunately, what shocked us the most was finding a red stain on one of my brother’s bedsheets. It looked old and was quite disgusting and unacceptable. I immediately called the front desk to request cleaning service. The staff responded quickly, and the lady changed the sheets right away. Overall, the hotel was GOOD — the staff were kind, the rooms were nice, and they offer an airport shuttle, which was very convenient. However, cleanliness and food quality definitely need improvement.

The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful but the problem with my stay was that there was no acceptance of international bank cards, and most of the restaurants at the hotel were closed plus there was no ATM machine to get local currency which made it inconvenient to have to take a Grab ride to a nearby shopping mall just to withdraw cash from an ATM machine. Ordering food to be delivered was the only option and most of the time when the food arrived. It was cold. Overall, the hotel was clean and the swimming pool was wonderful as was the gym, but because of the lack of access to local currency via an ATM machine or for paying things by bank card, it made the stay more inconvenient than it should have been.

There was a cockroach on the bed, they didn't turn on hot water in the room, paid for all you can eat breakfast but the restaurant was closed 2/3 days I stayed, they delivered breakfast the days the resto was closed but it arrived late in the morning and service couldn't tell me when it would be delivered, they didn't clean my room the first day, the 2nd day when I asked for them to clean room, they forgot to leave towels, laundry service was late.. I asked when it would be ready and they said 3 hours.. it took 5-6hrs and I constantly had to call to check in, they never called me to update me.. location is far if you need to commute to see people... overall service was very apathetic and didn't pay for what was advertised. Would not recommend nor return
