We only got to stay one night at Botánica but we plan to stay there again when we return to Medellin. The room with one double bed was just fine for us - me, my husband and 7 year old. There was even a little desk. The staff was super friendly, the breakfast fantastic, the location amazing. You can walk to the metro and across the street is a vinyl listening bar plus tons of food options everywhere. Yes the room is small (but we have stayed in smaller) so if you really need a giant room then maybe find a fancier place and you’ll pay a lot more because most hotels/hostels at this price in the city have smaller size rooms. We loved Botánica, for the location, decor, breakfast, price and overall vibe. Loved how the place feels and is decorated and how friendly everyone is. Sorry we couldn’t stay longer.

It was a great experience. The place is gorgeous and the staff incredibly friendly and welcoming. The area is surrounded by restaurants, night life and a great atmosphere. We loved our stay there.

Important to clarify that this is actually a guesthouse and not a hotel. My room in particular was not the best. Small bathroom and no natural light. Please visit, very friendly staff!

Will start by saying there was no air conditioning or tv in the room, I was alone and it was cool outside but room only had a fan. That said the hosts were amazingly nice, they cook you fresh breakfast every morning (yes they cook for you on the spot), you need a key to access the place so it is secure and comfortable. The location was also very central with a lot to do around the area. Definitely recommend.

I had a good stay at Botanica. Despite a rocky start with a windowless room, Dania, and her team quickly sorted out a better option. Breakfast was decent, though not very tasty. The WiFi was strong throughout, and the ever-present hotel staff were a big help.

Good location. Conveniently located near many restaurants, grocery and not far from a main metro line. Building and rooms are comfortable, clean and provide a unique and boutique experience. A glorified hostel

It’s a glorified hostel, with dirty floors and indifferent staff at best — not quite sure how it received such a high rating from others. If you are ok in a shared space with very little privacy, and not much worried about the usual niceties, then I suppose it would be ok, and location is not terrible although entrance is very hard to find; can’t imagine you wouldn’t be able to find someplace much better for a similar price in a city like Medellin, however…

The hotel is little paradise behind closed doors. The 24 hour staff were awesome, friendly and helpful. Julie & Letty (sp) were wonderful hosts. They made my stay worthwhile and bent over backwards to accommodate me. I recommend this hotel to all travelling to Medellin. The location is close to some great restaurants, and there isn't a better place to catch local tours.
