Rooms are functional and hotel conveniently close to train station and restaurants. The highlight however is the reception and caretaker staff… so friendly, professional and accommodating!

Excelente service apartment

I was recommended to stay there by my work contact. It’s super convenient as it’s right next to the train station as well aa the tram stop. The apartment is very spacious and it’s also close to the trail along the driver. I love the fact that I even have an in-unit washer and dryer!

I stayed 2 nights and would say this was value for money. The ladies on reception were all very welcoming and attentive. The decor of the room is quite dated and economical but pleasant enough. Room came with a washing machine and dryer, small kitchen, bathroom, double bed and a living room. Loads of nearby food options and of course the station is a 5 min walk of that.

The Oaks South Yarra was close and convenient to shops, restaurants, and other businesses. The building was well sound proofed considering how close it was to the railway line. The kitchenette was well equipped and clean.

Not for long term stays

I didn’t want to use the kitchen although everything there to make own meals but the ventilation fan looked dirty and the door of the room didn’t feel safe. Still use a key to open and no double lock from the inside of the room. The building is just old that’s why everything looks dirty?!

Room was good enough but the beds were very uncomfortable and had an unsettling painting on the wall of the bedroom. Kitchen, bathroom & laundry amenities were good. Would be better if they provided clothing rack to put clothes on to dry as not everyone likes using dryers for certain types of clothing. I did like that they provided cleaning agents for dishes and laundry.
