Enjoy access to large gourmet kitchen fully equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, and coffee maker as well as dishes and utensils. Several sleeping configurations can be accommodated in the 3 bedrooms/2.5 bathroom space. Sleeps 6 comfortably.

The main living area of the home has a great gathering area for families including an open concept kitchen, den, and a family room.

This eclectic cottage is nestled among a mixture of hardwoods and rock outcroppings. Situated just blocks from the heart of Mentone, High Point serves as your basecamp for the endless adventures awaiting. The home is centrally located within minutes of all your outdoor excursions and sightseeing. Spend the day mountain biking at various public single-tracks on Lookout Mountain, kayak on the gorgeous Little River, hike in the renowned DeSoto State Park, rock-climb and boulder throughout Sand Rock, with a plethora of caving and hiking opportunities just minutes away. Easy self-check-in process to accommodate various arrival times.

There is also the main house (High Point Retreat) which is rentable and located separately from the cabin(High Point Cottage)

Great restaurants just 2 minutes to downtown Mentone include Wildflower Cafe, Mentone Market, The Hatter, and many more! Sit on the deck to enjoy the fresh mountain air and breeze or grill for your whole gathering with the propane grill provided. For year-round enjoyment and a wonderful getaway, you can’t get much better than this, you won’t be disappointed!

If you would like to use the grill or fire pit during your stay please bring a fire-starter and wood.

Property was easy to find and checkin a breeze. Communications with the host were easy. The kitchen had very basic supplies. I would suggest a sponge for cleanup. There were a large ammount of ladybird beetles in the home. I am not sure how they got in. I would suggest some additional pillows as the one there are few and thin. Overall a good experience. An 8/10

The location was lovely and close to downtown Mentone. The outdoor furniture in the patio could use some cleaning but other than that no complaints. This was one of the easiest to check out of places we have ever stayed.

Perfect Spot

Mentone is the absolute perfect spot for a 4 day stay - great hikes and waterfalls, even in the summer. Cute shops and within easy distance to bigger groceries. Our family really enjoyed this stay because the house is great. We had a fire one night, saw fireflies and were close to fun attractions (DeSoto Park, Little River Canyon and more!) while enjoying the ease of cooking good meals and having coffee in the lazy morning. The house really had it all and made our stay super easy, even with kids!

Absolutely Beautiful!!!

The cottage is even more amazing in person than in the photos!! The inside is very comfortable & beautifully decorated. We also enjoyed spending time on the porch swing, taking in the fresh air, the quiet, & all the nature. Mentone itself is a lovely little town with great shops & there are also a LOT of hiking trails, waterfalls, & outdoor activities very close by. We're planning to stay again sometime!!
