I had a very distressing experience at Casa Panuco. Upon arrival, the room door was already open and the lock appeared loose, making it impossible to close properly. As a solo female traveler, this was extremely concerning and made me feel unsafe from the start.
Later that night, when I went to bed, I noticed a strong body odor coming from the sheets and pillowcases. Upon closer inspection, I found stains that appeared to be bodily fluids, suggesting the linens had not been properly cleaned.
The bathroom was also in unacceptable condition. The sink had visible mold, and the towels were dirty. Additionally, the ceiling fan was covered in dust on both sides, which further reflects the lack of proper cleaning and maintenance.
It felt like the room was made available without any inspection or basic hygiene standards. I attempted to contact support through the app multiple times and never received a response.
I was traveling for work and only returned to the hotel at night, which made the experience even more unpleasant and frustrating.
All of these issues have been documented with photos. I have already filed a formal complaint with Expedia and I am requesting a full refund. I would not recommend this property under any circumstances.
