Great value for money. Staff were friendly and approachable, venue convenient for local attractions (restaurants etc.).

Extractor fan in bathroom was very noisy and started spontaneously at 3.30am.
The fire alarm went off early in the morning, so a lot of us had to evacuate to the car park in the cold. Whilst waiting outside in the cold during the fire alarm myself and another guest went inside the main building. We attempted to make a cup of tea to warm up and were told we would have to pay for it, despite being freezing because of being stood outside in the cold. Thought the least the hotel could have done was invite people inside to warm up.

Tired hotel. Weeds all around our area and up the steps from the cottages. Room decor was dated.
Breakfast staff seemed fractious, although the welcome on Reception was good.

One night stay
Arrived here at around 7.30. Greeted by a very charming young woman who could niot have been more helpful. Room very clean bed comfy. Evening meal also really good Waitress also a very charming young woman who really was most helpful. I have stayed in a number of hotels and I must say the staff here were brilliant. First class

Overnight stay
This is the third time I have stayed here. The first time a huge beautiful room in the main building .... Decided to stay a second time ... This time a room in the annexe opposite , a nice room , smallish.... Really hot and couldn't turn off the radiator .... Not as nice as the first room though ... Decided a third stay ... The most expensive at £59 a night ... Was in the annexe again ... Tiny room .... Old TV (flat screen had been taken off wall)... Screw holes ect unfilled ... Head board of bed all rubbed away .. Noisy from main road traffic ... Very hot again but portable fan unit in room .... Each time I've stayed ... Rooms have got worse and more expensive which is a shame as great location ... Unsure if to risk it again

Shocking experience
Problem with cold water, ie there was none. Not able to take showers, no offer of bottled water for the room and did not even offer a discount on the room price.
The whole hotel was like a steam room because of this fault. If I had not have had a beer I would of slept in my car, although it appear car crime is problematic on the hotel grounds. Avoid !!
