It is right next to the monarch sanctuary and convenient to the coast line and downtown Pacific Grove. The room was ideal for us - big and roomy for our daughter to study on her computer at the table, and for our grandson to play with his toys. We liked that it had windows that opened and a fan. My only complaint was that the toilet ran all night. Would recommend for families. My only

Both rooms TVs did not work ,the shower hardly has water pressure .and we asked for the room to be cleaned they said OK, but after we came back at night, nothing was done .and when we told them, the room wasn’t clean or the sheets changed they said sorry the housekeeper must forgot.we asked for towels. They said they didn’t have any. They gave us instead pool towels. lack of maintenance the whole way smelled bad. I will never stay this place again and I will never recommend this place to anyone.

Have stayed here multiple times since 2016 and always feel comfortable. It’s not the newest property, but the rooms are clean and spacious. Great location with easy access to many focal points. Quiet neighborhood. Will be back again!

Butterfly preserve ( a small park with paved walkway) next to property was fun.(butterflies are present only a few months and we were lucky) Staff is friendly and helpful. Room was spotlessly clean. Nice towels & sheets. Quiet location, off the main road, a short distance to beautiful ocean scenes and 17 Mile Drive.

Stay at Butterfly regularly (although the staff doesn't seem to know that) because of its location, room size, quietness, and reasonable dog charge. Many lodgings disqualify themselves by either a "no pet" or "sure, bring Fido, but you are going to pay" policy. I'm sure owners can site experiences for that but I've yet to witness a "bad dog" at a good inn. Reminds me of credit card companies that hope you are late so they can hammer you with fees. Highly recommend Butterfly Grove, our favorite out of the half dozen in P.G. we've stayed at. We booked a return in late December.

This is an absolute gem of a find. Walking distance from an incredible beach, golf course and lighthouse. Dog friendly, clean and comfortable. Local pub right down the road. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. You just don't find places like this anymore. No charge for parking, quiet and private. 10/10

It was a fun, funky beach vib, building painted pink and next to Monarch Sanctuary. Large clean room w fireplace, comfortable bed and all the amenities. Would stay there again. It was convenient to all the sights in Pacific Grove and Monterey. Restaurants within a quick car ride.

Room was very clean & spacious. Could use a new bed, seemed worn down. Unfortunately we had to hear the kid next door constantly screaming and running/banging on things starting at 6am every day so I'm guessing the walls aren't very thick. It is a older place so expect it to show it but the price point was good. I do wish they offered pastries or muffins in the mornings, that would be helpful so we wouldn't have to try to get in somewhere to eat and spend another $60 just onbreakfast

This Inn was such a find. We have stayed here a few times and each has been wonderful. It is easy to find and parking is fantastic. We love that it borders the Butterfly sanctuary and can just step from our door to the pathway. The staff is always very pleasant and accommodating.

Nice little motel. Located near the Monarch reserve. They had spacious rooms and nice staff. The swimming pool was clean. The hot tub was nice and hot. The pool had a acquaint cozy feel with teak chairs. There’s no breakfast, and you have to request room service if you want it. We would definitely stay there again.

Adorable cottage in the woods

We got a giant room with high ceiling! A breakfast table for 4, a fridge and a microwave oven! The room is clean, the beds are super comfortable with extra blankets in the closely. The bathroom is small, with stacks of towels. The sink is tiny and is outside of the bathroom but the counter space is big and the mirror is large. Staff is friendly and parking is easy. We left a souvenir in our room and they are happy to ship it to our home for us. The hotel is in a woodsy area and we sat outside for our morning coffee. The hotel is cute with lots of amenities. We are very happy to have found this gem. ❤️
