I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled this time. From the moment I entered the room, it was clear it hadn't been properly maintained in a long time. There was visible mold in several areas – not only is that disgusting, but it's also a serious health hazard. Parts of the room were literally falling apart, with cracked walls and fixtures barely hanging on. The shower barely worked, with weak water pressure and a leaky showerhead. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, with a sagging mattress that felt like it hadn't been replaced in years. To top it all off, the door had multiple holes in it that were poorly patched up, making me question the overall security of the room. I would normally recommend this place to anyone but maybe think twice this time.

Location not bad but know that you’ll get what you pay for! Be aware, this motel doesn’t offer maid service during your stay, as we found out upon check-in. We stayed 3 nights and no bed service, trash emptying, fresh towels- nothing!

The Motel 6 was about 10 minutes North of Monterey. The hotel was a few blocks from the ocean, which made for a nice walk before I had to go to my meetings. The room was clean and met my needs for an overnight stay. It had the basics, was comfortable and I felt safe as a single woman traveling. It was easy to park and there is a Denny’s at the other end of the parking lot, as well as a starbucks down the street.
