Nice rental, close to ocean

This was our first trip to Monterey, house was a nice size for a family of 5. Located about 10 min from the ocean, down the street from a Safeway and within 15 min of the Aquarium, Carmel by the sea, Pebble beach and Laguna Seca racetrack. Updates to the house were nice. Had an issue with black ants in the kitchen, Vacasa sent a team to spray and bring some ant killer. We didn’t let them spray but the baits were placed and did the job. Backyard patio and seating is really nice. Would stay here again.

House and yard very nice. Would suggest that the clock in master bedroom be replaced with one that doesn’t tick. And would be helpful to have some instructions on various TV remotes.

The house was nice and in a good location. We drove to Pebble Beach, Cannery Row and 17 mile drive which were all about 15 minutes or less. The patio was really spacious and has ample seating.There were ants in the kitchen and primary restroom. There was ant spray under the sink which may indicate a common issue. Also, there weren’t large trash bags for the kitchen trash can (only small ones).

Well-designed home

The open floor plan worked well for the five of us. The hall bathroom and shower are beautiful! Contactless check-in and check-out are very efficient: there is a code to unlock the front door. The home was very clean and comfortable. Overall, a great stay.

A very clean, well maintained house! We had everything we needed in the kitchen and front bathroom (just needed soap in the primary bath.) The backyard was an enjoyable spot to relax after our beach day with lots of chairs/tables. I would stay here again!

Yikes

Anytime I went outside or even opened a window, the neighbor's dog would bark incessantly. The smell of dog waste wafted over, and that combined with the barking dog made enjoying the backyard impossible. The landscaping had not been watered and most of the yard was dying. There was no AC, only standing fans but opening a window just made the dog waste and the barking worse. I'd like a partial refund, please.

Relaxing weekend stay

We had a great time in Del Rey Oaks. This home is in a quiet neighborhood, close to the beach and convenient to the Frog Pond Nature Reserve for nice morning walks. We went to Carmel, Carmel Valley, and Pacific Grove and this location is about twenty minutes from all three. The house was very comfortable and perfect for relaxing. The backyard is fantastic for a late afternoon happy hour and the kitchen was large enough for a couple of people to be working at one time.

Lovely place to stay

Kitchen is surprisingly well stocked for a short term rental. We even found an immersion blender! Lovely home. Great backyard. Family loved coming back to such a nice place after day trips to Asilomar, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Carmel and Santa Cruz. Would love to return.
