Very nice and conveniently located hotel, a lot of places are within walking distance. Most of the staff I have encountered speak both english and French Didn’t explore the property too much but the room was quite cozy and clean. I would stay here again.

Good location. Grounds showing some wear and tear and could use some updating. Hotel itself is very clear and modern. The pool is great - lively and swimmable, too. Would recommend leaving the property for food and drink as they gouge for the convenience.

Stayed one week at the Bonaventure with my partner and teenage children. The pool is fantastic (although very very busy) and it's great to have a full bar, restaurant and room service. We've stayed there many times and will definitely stay again.

Our stay was absolutely fabulous! Clean, quiet, and prompt service each day. The rooftop pool is a glorious feature with plenty of seating. And gosh...do we need to mention how amazing the location is to downtown! Shops, markets, pubs, restos, and more all within walking distance. The only cautionary tidbit which may affect some is that the property is highly-scented with fragrance pumped throughout. This isn't rare for hotels and it's not advertised as a scent-free property so have antihistamines on hand if you have sensitivities. Enjoy your stay!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were able to check into our room early. I didn't like that there was a stain on my sheets. The bathroom could have used a heavy cleaning. The grout in the shower was gross and the paint on the ceiling was bubbling from the moisture.

Room was very comfortable with a wonderful view of downtown. Walking distance to the Subway, and Via Rail. McGill University, Eaton Centre and the waterfront (Old Port, Science Centre) are also very close. The staff members that we interacted with were all very friendly, understanding and hospitable.

Pros: Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, internet access was great, the swimming pool had a great vibe (although very busy the Tuesday we most recently stayed), the bell boys and the front desk staff were kind and helpful. The location is perfect walking distance from so much around you to see and eat! Cons: Difficult to get ahold of someone at the front desk via phone in the room, once you park (they charge around $30 per 24 hours), you don’t have in-out privileges. We would 100% stay here again (this was our second stay) and would suggest the property to friends and family! Thank you, Hotel Bonaventure!

Hotel Bonaventure is a beautiful property in downtown Montreal with a serene feel thanks to the pool and wonderful gardens. My room was fantastic, including an outstanding view of downtown.
