Good for solo backpacking trips

Good- comfortable bed. Central location. Metro and restaurants within walking distance including Mcdonalds. Free water, apple juice, tea and coffee. Bad- No visitors allowed after 10 pm (is this a hotel or hostel?). Air conditioning controls not inside room (it got very hot in the afternoon). Dirty bed cover. Noisy (thin walls). Overall - good as a solo backpackers hostel. Good location and tons of eating choices. Very comfortable bed. Nearby parking is $15 per day with NO in/out privileges.

Great location. Terrible hotel.

The walls were dirty, the bathroom was falling apart. It was SO LOUD every time we tried to sleep. We were right under the office in the basement and all we could hear all night was an office chair rolling around and people going up and down the stairs

Do not be deceived. The air conditioning is not actual air conditioning. It's central air for the entire building and does not suffice. Staff and management are not accomodating with these issues and pretend to adjust the temperature and then set it back to what it originally was when you're not looking. Expect to be very warm in your room (25 degrees celsius) and to have grumpy staff and management for your entire stay when you raise any concern. WiFi is also not usable. Slow. Housekeeping also entered our room when we put the "do not disturb" on our door.

First the pros: Price and location. Location is unbeatable. Now cons: The rooms was too small. I mean the layout of the furniture in the room could be changed to create more space. That could be done for free. Furthermore, the shared microwave stinks. I actually had to eat leftovers straight out of the refrigerator. The hotel wifi was non-existent in my room. I was getting disconnected intermittently and it was super slow. I had to buy data on my phone to get work done.

Stayed for 4 nights with my partner. The room was small and could definitely use some updating but it was very clean and the bed, though old, was comfortable enough. The staff were all nice and the central AC worked well once you figured out which vent to open. But the location of the hotel gets a 5 star rating! It is located in one of the best areas of Montreal with what feels like endless amazing restaurants right outside the front door. It's also right in the middle of the Arts District, steps away from the Village, short walk to Old Montreal and seems like only 20 minutes away from everything else! Had a great time, would definitely stay here again!!

DANGER! DO NOT STAY HERE! THERE'S A REASON FOR NO REFUNDS! Booked multiple nights: Got a basement room with a street level window where the smoke from people in the street stank up the room so much the smoke/CO² detector started beeping. Went to front desk and they proceeded to tamper and rip out the detector altogether! Claimed there were no more available rooms. Checked out after 1st night as we didn't feel safe even when they don't offer refunds. Room was very basic: Old, run-down, decent beds, filthy/stained carpet, ragged comforter & bed cover. Clean sheets and relatively clean bathroom. Never even heard of free breakfast.

THE WORST PLACE TO STAY IN

The worst stay ever. When we arrived in the property, it was already giving a creepy and dirty vibe. But we gave it the benefit of a doubt. We got in the room and found the room is dirty. The beddings were torn and there was a blood stain, bugs and the molds in the toilet. We went downstairs to speak with the receptionists. He said it is what it is. So right away i booked a second hotel. I was asking him if he can do us something about it. He was adamant and didnt want to deal with us. So not even 30 mins in the property we booked Hotel 10, which is way 100x better. And we told him we are not staying. He didnt care. It felt more like being scammed. This HOTEL IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE REGISTERED HERE IN THE 1st place. But then again. We are tourists here in Montrealand we didnt know better. But now we are good.
