The space
This classic Upper-Midwest, farm-house style apartment has an outdoor staircase which overlooks the large grassy yard. The gas BBQ grill, wood-burning fire pit and Adirondack chairs make the back yard an inviting space to just hang out or host a family gathering.

Personally, I like to watch the "oh, so cute" wild bunnies eat the grass in the yard (don't get me started) , which is why the grass consists of numerous varieties. Clarification...I didn't plant numerous types of grass, I just didn't kill anything.

Inside, there is one bedroom, a living room, kitchen, bathroom and workspace. The apartment is stocked with a Keurig with both regular and decaf coffee, cream and sugar, condiments and spices. There is soap, shampoo and conditioner, lotion and a few sundries you may have forgotten, such as a toothbrush or a razor.

The interior of the one-bedroom apartment is best suited for 2 (even up to 4 people, but it's tight). It's not tiny, bit it is small. You can entertain a larger group outdoors for a simple meal or a fireside chat.

We can help you organize a private party or let you take care of it, but any gathering over 8 mild-mannered guests MUST have approval in advance.

We can also shop for you with advance notice. We charge an hourly rate, with no markup to items purchased.
Guest access
Guests have private access to the one-bedroom apartment.

Guests also have unlimited access to the yard. It is very private, but not exclusive. Exclusive use of our back yard is fine with a little notice.

The shared laundry room is in the basement along with detergent, stain remover and fabric softener. There is no fee to use the washer, dryer or detergent. With advanced planning, laundry and dry-clean services can be arranged for a fee.

There is a dedicated parking spot in the driveway for our guests, and plenty of street parking for additional cars.
Other things to note
It is important to note that the entrance to this apartment is upstairs and can only be accessed by a flight of stairs. We love it. We think anyone who is even barely agile will think it's charming.

Physically challenged people may have difficulty. If you need an apartment with few or no stairs, please reach out to me. I may have another, more suitable option for you.
