The National Trust's Cragside House and Gardens are just 10 minutes away to the west, while the Heritage Coast, with its miles of white sand beaches, is only 15 minutes away to the east. Historic Alnwick lies just 11 miles north, and its castle and gardens are well worth a visit. It's a great starting point for exploring Northumberland or just having a well-deserved holiday, thanks to the nearby magnificent National Park!
