Lost River is known for its Cranny Crow overlook on top of Big Ridge Mountain, which offers a commanding view of five counties.
2. Kimsey Run Lake (22 minutes away) offers a great spot for fishing, and you’ll often see eagles floating overhead.
3. Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad (40 mins away): As you wind along the South Branch of the Potomac River, you’ll enter a visually striking gorge known as the Trough. One of the most scenic spots along the South Branch, the Trough is home to American bald eagles. All excursions are round-trip and include narration.
