We had a wonderful vacation overall and really enjoyed our stay. The condo was spacious enough for our group of eight (my mom, my three children, my two nieces, and me). It was definitely crowded, but we made it work. Having a kitchenette was a huge plus and made meals much easier during the week.
There were a few issues during our stay, though. We found two roaches in the condo. I’m not sure if the property had recently been treated, as we were told they may have sprayed, but it was still unpleasant. The communication from the property managers also wasn’t great. One of the bedroom air conditioners wasn’t working when we arrived. It was eventually replaced, but no one let us know that the issue had been resolved. The refrigerator also wasn’t cooling properly at first. We were told it wasn’t something that could really be fixed, but thankfully it ended up working well enough for the rest of our stay.
My biggest disappointment was with the amenities. One of the main reasons we chose this property was because of the photos showing the waterslides and indoor pool at Compass Cove. Unfortunately, we found out after arriving that guests who book through a private owner cannot use certain amenities, including the waterslides. My children were very disappointed. I understand this may be Compass Cove’s policy, but I feel the listing should make this much clearer so families know what they’re actually paying for.
