Summary:
Playa Castillo is the rare end-unit at Bay View where every bedroom opens onto its own slice of balcony — a 3-bed, 3-bath corner stack with a King master, an 85-inch Smart TV anchoring the open living room, and a bold orange-and-yellow accent palette you notice the second the door opens. Family-week math without anyone trading down. Our Casanita Guest Guide points to the chef-driven kitchens guests usually miss.
The Space:
Playa Castillo is the end-unit at Bay View's 8th floor — a corner stack that catches the morning light on two walls instead of one, with the Myrtle Beach Pier in the long view. The wraparound balcony runs the ocean side and across the corner, with sliders from the open-plan living room and from all three bedrooms. Inside, the chic, modern open-concept layout reads bright and high-energy: a designer-painted accent wall, bold orange/yellow accents over warm wood tones, and a modern electric fireplace anchoring the living room under an 85-inch Samsung Smart TV. Floor-to-ceiling glass runs the ocean side of the living room and carries through the bedrooms — the Atlantic stays in the frame from the kitchen, the dining table, and the pillow.
The King master pairs the bed with a private balcony slider and an ensuite bath. The two additional bedrooms each have their own balcony access, with 40-inch Smart TVs, and the second and third baths sit next to them — three full baths means three families, three couples, or three generations don't stack up in the morning. The kitchen is dialed in for actual cooking: warm wood cabinetry, black granite counters, stainless appliances, a Keurig already loaded for the early riser, a dishwasher, and an in-unit stacked washer/dryer in the hallway. Linens and towels are luxury-hotel-spec — weight, count, and quality control all matched. Ask about Celebration Packages — balloons, decor, and the touches we put in place for milestone weekends.
Water-side, Bay View's strength is the indoor amenity package — a heated indoor swimming pool, heated indoor lazy river, and indoor kiddie pool that all stay usable when the weather doesn't cooperate, plus an oceanfront pool with hot tub above. The oceanfront pool deck has a fire pit for the evening, and a palm-lined path drops straight from the deck to the sand. Giant chess and checkers, shuffleboard, and a fitness room round it out. A Starbucks on the ground floor handles the morning before you've left the building. The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk is a ten-minute walk south. Free parking in the covered garage.
Guest Access:
The full suite is yours — three bedrooms, three baths, wraparound corner balcony with sliders from the living room and every bedroom, in-unit washer/dryer, dishwasher, and Smart TVs in the living room and each bedroom. WHAT'S INCLUDED
Your door code arrives on check-in day and everything is waiting inside — Casanita K-cups and Café Bustelo, specialty tea, oatmeal, breakfast bars, and popcorn, along with hotel-quality toiletries (shampoo and conditioner, hand soap, body wash, and lotion) and the same plush, luxury-hotel-spec linens and towels we'd want for ourselves. Four bath towels per bathroom; stays of four nights or longer get a free swap-out service. Pool bands and the building keycard are in the suite when you arrive. High-speed WiFi runs throughout the building. Parking pass for the free covered garage across the street. Our Casanita Excursions Guide points to the tours, day trips, and experiences worth carving time out for — built by people who live and work here.
WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED
A few things we don't stock so you can plan ahead: cooking oils, butter, salt and pepper, and spices (bring or pick up what you'll cook with); beach chairs, umbrellas, or beach toys (chair rentals are available right on the sand); daily housekeeping (your suite is fully cleaned and inspected before arrival; a mid-stay refresh is available on request for a fee); personal toiletries beyond the welcome set (toothpaste, razors, sunscreen); and TV streaming logins (sign in with your own accounts). Pool towels are provided by Bay View at the pool deck and must stay at the pool — they're not for beach use.
PEST CONTROL
Routine, preventive in-suite pest control by Beach Pest Service runs monthly on the first Thursday. MPG handles all in-suite scheduling — standard building maintenance, set up in advance.
GOOD TO KNOW
A few things worth knowing up front. First, building entry is by keycard — four readers across the front doors, and your card is in the suite when you arrive (also required to enter the parking garage, so don't leave it in the room). Second, the parking garage sits across the street at Flagg & 5th Ave N with 7-foot clearance — fine for standard vehicles, tight for SUVs with roof racks and most vans. Use the south side of the building (15-minute parking) for unloading. Third, Bay View requires pool bands on the deck and in the water — yours are in the welcome set in the suite. Fourth, the trash goes to housekeeping, not down the hall — leave bagged trash in the designated spot and our team handles it.
Friendly reminder: smoke-free homes, the booking guest must be 21 or older, and Bay View requires pool bands on the deck and in the water — yours are in the suite at check-in.
