The Space:

Welcome to The Bunk Room, your efficient and charming home base for an amazing stay in the French Quarter. This private room comfortably accommodates two guests and is perfect for friends or solo adventurers.

Sleeping: Two comfortable twin bunk beds.

Art & Decor: A unique, hand-drawn mural by a local artist adds a touch of New Orleans charm.

Comfort: The room is equipped with air conditioning for your comfort.

Kitchenette: A convenient kitchenette includes a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker for light meals and morning coffee.

Bathroom: A private, en-suite bathroom with a stand-up shower.



The Bunk Room is one of six unique rooms within the historic Royal Barracks Guest House. Please note that while we operate like a B&B, we do not offer a breakfast service. If you are traveling with a larger group, consider booking the adjoining Suite (sleeps 4) or Garden Room (sleeps 2) to keep everyone together.



Guest Access:

Guests will have exclusive and private access to their own room and en-suite bathroom. Entry is convenient and secure with self check-in via a smart lock. All rooms are accessed through exterior corridors behind a dedicated, locked gate, ensuring your safety and privacy.



Additionally, all guests have full access to our beautiful and peaceful shared central courtyard, a popular place to hang out and relax.



The Neighborhood:

Famous for its vibrant energy and historic charm, the French Quarter offers something around every corner. Lively Bourbon Street is filled with jazz clubs, Cajun restaurants, and iconic cocktail bars, while quieter nearby streets lead to the French Market’s local shops and gourmet bites. Stroll to Jackson Square to enjoy street performers and artists gathered beneath the beautiful St. Louis Cathedral, one of New Orleans’ most recognizable landmarks.



Getting Around:

Shops, music venues, and beloved 24-hour eateries are all just steps away. The streetcar line and public transportation are within a few blocks (see the New Orleans RTA website for routes and schedules). Uber and Lyft are also readily available and offer an easy, affordable, and safe way to explore the Crescent City.



Other Things to Note:

This is a six-room guesthouse, operating similarly to a bed & breakfast, but we do not provide breakfast. Each room is booked individually.
