Location was OK if you can walk because nothing is close by. Quiet neighborhood. I felt safe. Room did not have any common amenities, i.e. safe, fridge. My room had very bad water pressure and the hot water took over five minutes to come. It was quaint, a New Orleans experience vs a standard chain hotel.

It was so much fun seeing the beautiful architecture and furniture in the room and the hotel. Super fun experience! From a practical perspective it was a bit uncomfortable trying to walk around on the wood floors that made noise, I felt like I was being obnoxious to any downstairs neighbors no matter how much I tried to tip toe. Also be advised if you have a lot of luggage there is no luggage elevator and the stairs, as cool as they are, are very steep and irregularly shaped so dragging heavy luggage up and down to the third floor was a challenge.

Great location close to the French Quarter but without the noise and craziness. Easy access to French Market, Frenchmen Street, restaurants and more. Our room was in the house across the rear street, Kerlerec Street and they weren’t great. Musty and no windows. Whenever a neighboring guest walked around it moved the floor enough that our bed shook and creaked. Walls were very thin - neighbor’s talking, coughing, walking and snoring woke us up in the night.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. All of the employees go over the top to make sure you have a great time. We came back to our room late last night and the lady at the front desk walked us around to show us the area and take us to an area that we asked her about that we've not been to. The only small downfall is it is noisy if you're on the street side. We will definitely stay there again. We frequent New Orleans about once a year

It is a beautiful location adjacent to the quarter. The location is completely walkable to just about anywhere you’d want to go in the French Quarter but be advised it is NOT in the Quarter. It is a beautiful old property. However I can’t forgive the lack of climate control. NOLA is famous for muggy conditions and I think a basic requirement is a comfy climate in room. The room has a wall heating and cooling unit that never worked quite right. Upon our arrival it didn’t work at all. This was reported immediately to the front desk. We were met with shrugged shoulders, and an attitude of indifference. That was frustrating. We googled the error codes displayed because we were desperate to be comfortable, Two days later we went back and repeated the complaint to a different person, told them there were actually error codes indicating a malfunction in the temp sensors, and when we returned to our room, it appeared it had been serviced. It worked fairly well after that. While the housekeeping was adequate, there was an issue with how often housekeeping happened. Personally, I want my room serviced every day when I’m on vacation. This is especially true in a climate that is known to be hot and muggy. Our room was serviced daily however, fresh linens were not provided. There was a statement from management that fresh linens would only be provided every three days. Pool was unkept, dirty. There was underwear in the bottom corner for the first 3 days of our visit. Gross.

We stayed two weeks ago and came back for more this past week end! We stayed in a suite this time and last time were in the back on the first floor. Obviously, we were very impressed with this establishment! The gentleman at the desk both stays was very nice and extremely helpful. The bathrooms must have been recently remodeled, they were beautiful...all floors you could eat off of, immaculate.You couldn't beat their parking arrangement. You could tell the employ loved the place, it was well taken care of. A lovely establishment both Me and my wife would highly recommend!

The interior courtyard,with the pool and hot tub, was a lovely oasis. The hotel location was perfect. Right on the edge of the French Quarter but quiet.

I would rebook this place!! Great location

Lamothe House is located in a historic building with a super quaint courtyard style. Overall, if you've stayed at a Motel 6 and can handle it, you can handle this. Everything feels clean, but visually, it doesn’t quite match up, so mentally prepare for that. For the price and location, it can’t be beat. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely return and stay here again. I don't recommend this for tall people, as the sink counter is right across from the toilet, and their knees might hit it. Overall, if you can look past the visuals and the occasional smell (I’m going to give the hotel the benefit of the doubt and blame it on the humidity), you should definitely book this place!
