This peaceful, dog-friendly 4BR home sleeps 8 and sits on 2 private wooded acres at the base of the iconic Gunks. Enjoy stunning forest and mountain views from the sunroom, spacious deck, or while soaking in the cedar hot tub.
“The Gunks” is one of the premiere rock-climbing areas in the country and the house is only minutes from hiking and climbing areas.

Please review the following guidelines regarding the Hot Tub:
- children are not permitted in hot tubs at any time without adult supervision.
- When using the hot tub, remember there is a certain health risk associated with this facility. Use at your own risk. 
- DO NOT STAND ON THE HOT TUB COVER. Hot tub covers are for insulation purposes and are not designed to support a person or persons. They will break and you will be charged for replacement.
- please minimize use of body lotions or oils while in the tub.
- **very importantly** please replace the cover on the tub when not using it + ensure the tub is fully covered and straps are buckled.
- The hot tub is heated for six hours a day, typically from 12:00 pm- 2:00pm and 6:00pm to 10:00pm. If you’d prefer it to be heated at a different time during your stay, please let me know in advance and I’d be happy to adjust the schedule. It heats up to a temperature of about 104°. (The temperature cannot be controlled by the panel on the tub, please do not touch the buttons otherwise the tub will go into service mode and will stop working.)
- The tub is made of pure cedar, please expect some natural coloration of the water from the tannins in the wood as well as the scent of cedar.
During your stay at this holiday home, you'll be close to Mohonk Preserve Visitor Center. 1 hot tub and laundry facilities are available. Enjoy your stay with amenities like free WiFi and a kitchen in the holiday home.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful location and truly appreciated the warm welcome from the hosts. The space itself is thoughtfully set up, making it perfect for friends and family to come together and enjoy a relaxing weekend. One of the highlights was the beautiful sunroom—filled with natural light, it created such a peaceful and inviting atmosphere to sit, chat, and unwind.The entire home was immaculately clean and clearly well cared for, which made our stay even more comfortable. It really felt like a home away from home.

My family enjoyed the stay. The property was well cared for with many fun details: record player, a small array of games to entertain the kids, well-curated book selection. There was plenty of space for all of us. Liana was proactive at reaching out and the house rules were reasonable and easy to follow. Next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely look to stay again! It's a great property near beautiful sights and it's just a short drive outside of New Paltz.

The house is nestled in the woods on a quiet road outside of town. Perfect for some time away from the hustle and bustle to relax and breathe with friends and/or family. The living space of the house is beautiful and spacious! The sun room is gorgeous and would be even better with the windows open (too cold for us to do that on this trip). The cedar hot tub was a bonus as well.

The big sunroom is the best place to hang out with a cool (cozy!) fireplace and the great album collection. Lots of cozy comfortable seating and blankets for all of us too. We played games listen to music watched the sunrise and sunset. Dreamy.

It was spotless, well-maintained, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect - short drive to cute shops and restaurants, but still felt secluded enough for our liking. For those looking to explore the Hudson Valley, it’s location is convenient to surrounding towns like Beacon and Rhinebeck. The host was fantastic—very responsive and accommodating. Quickly shipped us items we left behind. We particularly enjoyed listening to her record collection in the beautifully decorated sunroom with our two pups. The quality of furnishings and supplies made it feel like we were staying at a friend’s house (albeit, a friend with impeccable style and cleanliness). This rental made our vacation truly memorable. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway in a swanky home. We can't wait to return!

Graduation weekend

Stayed at the house with my family. The home was very clean and in a great location close to New Paltz for my son’s graduation. We especially liked the sun room. A back deck is being built with a hot tub which will be a nice addition to the amenities. Liana was very responsive and we enjoyed the stay very much.

Lovely mid-century modern home

I would love to keep this gem all to myself, but that would be unkind. The location is a stones throw from New Paltz, but secluded enough to be removed from the crowds. The house feels like you're sitting high in the trees with big windows and cozy furniture. They also have the best LP collection to just lay back and chill in the sunroom. I would definitely rent this house again. Same time next year??? : - )
