The River House - 4 BR Retreat on the Apple River

Our home is located on the western bank of the Apple River. Tucked away in the back of three wooden acres, The River House provides unmatched privacy and direct river access.  Three of the four bedrooms have windows facing the river. Enjoy river sounds while you sleep. 

KAYAKS INCLUDED

We include four adult + two kids kayaks, and life jackets to use during your stay.  There is a public launch a few miles upstream. Kayak back to our backyard for an adventurous outing! You will need a truck or trailer to move the kayaks to the public launch area.

All NEW FURNITURE

The living rooms have brand new (and cozy!) sofas and loveseats. Each bedroom has new bedroom sets with new BeautyRest 11" mattresses adorned with fresh linens. Our home is appointed with relaxing and modern decor for a peaceful environment. 

ENTERTAINMENT

Our lower level recreation area includes a 98 inch home theater, pool table, and kitchenette. Our heated exterior garage includes a ping pong table and foosball.

SCREENED PORCH

With the luxurious sofa and chairs, this is the perfect spot to read a book or enjoy a morning coffee. It is the perfect spot to enjoy the sounds of the river and wildlife. 

THE ROOMS

Great Room

The huge stone fireplace makes the area warm and inviting. Subtle touches like the Samsung Frame television displays peaceful art. This open concept combines kitchen, dining, and living in one space. All furniture is brand new and super livable. River views are available from most areas of the great room.

Main Bedroom

This room includes its own personal gas fireplace and television, as well as a brand new King bedroom set with new BeautyRest 11" mattress. This room includes a desk/office area, which has amazing views of the wooded back yard and of course the Apple River. Guests will enjoy en suite bathroom of the main bedroom. 

Three Remaining Bedrooms

Enjoy fresh furniture and new mattresses. Every bedroom except one has a river-facing window. At night, you can barely hear the sounds of the river, along with an abundance of wildlife that thrive on our wooded acreage.



Bunk Bed

Our bunk bed is located in the lower level, adjacent to the game room / movie theater area. It's two twin bunks make a wonderful (and fun!) sleeping place for the kids. 



Bathrooms

The main bedroom has an en suite bathroom. The remaining bedrooms share a second full bath with tub and shower on the lower level. There is also a half bath on the main floor with both a toilet and sink.
