Neighbourhood

Located a couple of kilometres away from Lake Macquarie and nestled halfway between Newcastle and the Central Coast, Caves Beach offers its own unique appeal. Pristine sand and surf, a low-key, casual, easy, and family-friendly feel, with just the right amount of places to eat out and grab coffee and groceries, without the traffic or back-in-the-burbs dramas are some of the bonuses of this seaside village.

The neighbourhood shops, including the bakery, restaurants, and grocery stores, have everything you might possibly need. If you're craving somewhere with a little more shopping, Westfield Tuggerah is only half an hour's drive away and boasts over two hundred stores. There are, of course, smaller shopping centres between Caves Beach and Tuggerah.

Once you've finished shopping, there are plenty of activities to take part in that will get your feet wet. This neighbourhood is only a short drive to Sandy Beach Reserve, which offers netted areas of the lake making it safe for swimming. Here you'll also find BBQ facilities and a playground, making it a perfect location for a family adventure. Whether it's swimming, boating, fishing, or combing the beaches for shells and sea glass, there's something for everyone.

There are also plenty of activities for those who want to stay dry. Head to Marks Point and skydive, ride the rapids in a jet boat at Rafferty's Resort, or head to Newcastle to soar across the sky while hang-gliding. Not wanting to get the adrenaline pumping? Nature lovers will enjoy the stunning Watagan Mountains, home to waterfalls, spectacular rainforest gullies, bushwalking trails, and more. Another option is to head to the Munmorah State Conservation Area, with a variety of pristine beaches and walking trails, beautiful picnic spots, first-class fishing, and sweeping views on offer.

Safety: This home is elevated and can only be accessed by external stairs. There is a raised deck, and close access to the nearby Caves Beach.

Pets: While we're delighted to accommodate your furry friends, we kindly ask for your cooperation in ensuring their safety and minimizing any disturbance to our neighbours. Please refrain from leaving your pets unattended during your stay. We kindly request that you take measures to minimize any excessive barking or noise from your dogs, as this can impact the peaceful atmosphere of our neighbourhood.

Sofa Bed: Please note that we accommodate a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children. If extra children are using the sofa bed linen does need to be provided by the guests.

Noise Policy: We always follow strict noise regulations and ask you to be respectful and considerate. Strictly no parties or gatherings are to be held in this property. Any breach of these regulations may result in eviction without a refund of the remaining funds or deposit.

Age Limit: We do not accept reservations for groups with travelers under the age of 23 years unless a specific exception has been approved. Travelers under the age of 23 that are traveling with a family group with a parent are more then welcome to stay with us.

Supplies: A complimentary welcome pack will be provided that includes several single-use items to get you started including tea, coffee, sugar, creamer, soap, laundry, and dishwashing supplies. For extended stays, please bring extra provisions.

Shared Pool: The resort pool is situated 50 meters to the front left of the villa and is not heated.
