Another good stay

We use this hotel regularly at the moment to visit family. The hotel is generally very good. The most recent room was in the Carlton hotel section which had signs of old water leak or condensation runs. Also mould around window which needed cleaning. The bath was blocked and toilet roll holder came off a few times. Just a few housekeeping issues which can be easily remedied. Only gripe is early risers banging fire doors or room doors when leaving. We like the staff and position of hotel. Restuarants also been excellent for us.

The hotel was ok for the money and in a great location, we were happily tucked up in bed and had been for a while but we got a phone call from reception asking us to keep the noise down which was disappointing but other than than it was pretty good

Good stay!

Really enjoyed the stay and would recommend to others. Only downside was the noise on a night from outside revellers ( only jealous! ) . Bit noisy on the corridor outside my room but momentary. Breakfast was lovely - good value for money. Really comfortable shower was fantastic.

Great value, but bring your earplugs

For the price (under £40) this place is great value. Rooms have been recctnly updated. The main downside is that the walls are paper thin, I coukd hear the conversation in the next roo. Clear as day. Also bust pubs outside. Front desk offers earplugs for a reason!

We booked to stay in the Cairn not the Carlton. We could not get into or out of bed without sliding down a wall on both sides, one side was so close to the window reveal you had to avoid the corner. So narrow was the gap there was only room for ine bedside table. The bathroom door literally did not move, jammed half open/closed. The kitchen extraction disturbed us till late and early in the morning. A very poor experience.
