We had a little overnight stay at The Grand Hotel in Roker and we weren’t disappointed what a lovely hotel so clean and the staff were absolutely fantastic especially the man on reception!!so friendly nothing was a bother The beds were so comfortable we are booking again in a couple of weeks time without the children this time ha ha

Cheap, but not good value

On arriving, the car parking spaces are limited and very very small, barely able to get out your door when parked. When you go from your room to the car park, the lift is not accessible to use, you have to go all the way back to reception area, to get back to your room. Finding the room was a nightmare, poorly signposted and over various levels and corridors. Room was a good size and looked clean. Has good amenities. Bed was comfortable enough, but the pillows and bedding smelled fusty and like unclean. I would not return here again, for all the reasons above.
