The view was amazing .A few faults the furiture was out dated ..Carpet was tatty no plug to charge mobile. Settee was dirty ad ripped underneath Controller did not weprk for tv.! Thos was passed on to management for me by receptionist whilst out for a walk along sea front!

We enjoyed a two night stay in a twin room. Although the hotel is looking tired and worn in places, it is clean and the room was spacious and quiet at night. It is located just near the promenade and not far from shops, restaurants and ideal for the metro station. The staff were so lovely and helpful and sorted the troublesome window promptly. It is not high end but the price reflects that and it was great for a short getaway.

Wonderful Whitley bay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff are exceptional. Always cheery and helpful. Although the hotel is dated it's spotlessly clean, excellently situated as the metro is only a few minutes walk

I did not enjoy my stay at the Windsor Hotel. The Double en suite room i stayed in was immaculate & well presented. However personally i feel the Windsor is an overpriced Hotel. I would of liked a smart tv, a small fridge in room & the wifi to fully work. I would not recommend The Windsor Hotel & i would never choose to stay there again.

Worst experience ever !

I booked this hotel firstly because of the external Photo's on the Hotel.com site, I was very disappointed as there was not a photo of the front of the hotel just a beech shot and a picture of " Spanish City" which I thought was the Windsor Hotel but turned out to be a shopping/caff'e complex. the hotel is well located for the beech and main shops, but is very run down, the room was spacious and clean and the shower was excellent. bed was to soft. The main issue we had was that we were disturbed by TV engineers knocking on our door at 10am on Saturday 3rd May ( Bank Holiday weekend ) wanting to install a new TV cable through the external wall. We finished getting ready to go out, after about 3 hrs we returned to the hotel, the receptionist said that the works had been finished but when we got to our room THE DOOR WAS UNLOCKED and the works had not been completed. Know one seemed to be in control of the contractors. We went out again for a few hrs , when we came back the TV was connected but after reprogramming the set twice I still could not get BBC. programs. I was very annoyed at this as I wanted to watch World Snooker. The Hotel manager gave us a free breakfast, but that did not compensate for the appalling situation we were put in. The Hotel staff were very helpful.

My room was spacious I enjoyed how close everything was, the ladies on reception were lovely, there was a extremely loud couple next door to me who kept the noise up for hours in the early hours, I tried to do something about it but the couple were idiots. The next morning I mentioned it at reception she applied a free late checkout as an apology so I could kip better, that was kind and won my stay back to a good stay.
