Not only can you spend your days having fun on the lake or exploring the town, but you can also enjoy shared community amenities like a glittering pool and game room. For golfers, check out Grandfather Golf & Country Club just six miles down the road, while wintertime skiers will enjoy Sugar Mountain Resort, Beech Mt. Ski Resort, or Appalachian Ski Mountain.

Upon entry, you'll be met with a bright interior and a warm feeling of welcome throughout the three-bedroom home. Relax and make yourself at home by resting on the plush furniture, streaming your favorite movies on the large TV, or curling up with a great book by the stone fireplace. Prepare grand meals and lake picnic snacks in the full kitchen, equipped with stainless steel appliances and all the cupboard room you'll ever need. Great location near the Blue Ridge Parkway. Plenty of parking. Great deck. Large comfy beds. Indoor fireplace. Awesome stove for cooking. All the houses are super close together but the neighborhood was very quiet

The owner requested we leave our shoes by the door. However, that left our feet and socks almost completely black from dirt. Finding the house was a task because any map service tries to take you to a location in Banner Elk rather than Newland. There were several areas in the bathroom that weren't clean and up to par when we arrived. There was hair in tubs and showers. The house was a great fit once we got settled in. We love the location and the small neighborhood.

House was beautiful and clean. The neighborhood has a community pool which we wanted to use but the QR code needed to access the pool was not left available and even with trying to communicate with vacasa nothing was ever resolved. We were very upset over the whole situation

Carlson's Crawdad House was amazing. I wish our entire 7 day stay in NC would have been here. Super clean, crisp fresh sheets and pillows, A/C worked great as it was in the high 80's - low 90's outside. Felt like home in the mountains. Large enough for 2 families. Thank you we would love to stay here again.

House is located in a nice community. Third bedroom is downstairs (ground/garage level). Pots and pans are a bit dated. Outdoor dining table needs to be thoroughly cleaned. I booked this specific location because of advertised community pool and game room, but was never given a QR code to access those amenities. Reached out to Vacasa multiple times and given odd I’ll-informed answers - either that amenities are available and that I can just go there, or that there are no such amenities, or that I need to drive to their office (20 min away at 8 pm) to pick up the key.

The house was very nice, convenient, easy to find. Having three bedrooms and three baths was very nice. The outside porch and table had not been cleaned. We had trouble finding one set of towels but finally found them. I would take my family there again.

Family get away

This house was perfect for our stay in Newland. We were visiting a niece and her family and this house was convenient and the development is perfect for a family trip like this. Swimming pool, golf, food at clubhouse -- all above par.

This house worked out nicely for my husband and I and our kids. The location was convenient for the places we wanted to go and things we wanted to see and do. We thoroughly enjoyed meals on the back deck!

Nice, easy to get to, easy parking and close to attractions

Very nice 3 bedroom house. Worked out well for our family of 4. It was close to a lot of things, parking was easy and no tiny “hog paths” to get to it! Highly recommend staying here. We even had snow and they were very quick to salt and treat all the roads around us. We had no issues.
