Awesome location!

We stayed here with our 4 adult kids and the location was perfect for us... close to the beach, pier, stores, restaurants, etc. The condo was clean and had wonderful views of the ocean!

The location is so noisy all night long. There is no air conditioning so the windows need to be open and the people were making noise all night long.

Great rental and great location!

My siblings and I took my mom here to celebrate her 80th birthday. The location was perfect for what we wanted, close to restaurants and easy access to the Balboa Island ferry. The guest portal was easy to use and had all the information we needed. It made the check-in and check-out process a breeze. There was also a lot of communication from the property management company, which I liked. The property was very clean and on the 3rd level of the condo complex, just high enough to get a great view of the ocean and not to hear much of the street level noise. Overall, we had a great time and would consider renting this unit again.

Pros: We loved the proximity to the beach, the ocean views and listening to the waves while we slept. The unit is spacious, decorated nicely and has comfortable furniture and beds. It is close to fun restaurants and shops and the balcony is great for people watching. A car is not necessary. Cons: This is a third floor unit and the elevator was down the entire time we were there. This was not an issue for us, but if you had a need for one this would have been problematic. The unit was not as clean as we would have hoped. There were cheetos on the floor, there was a full-length mirror on the master bed which was heavy to move. The remotes were sticky. The first glass I took out of the cabinet had wet sugar in it. Every time anyone tried to get ice out of the freezer, ice cubes would go all over the floor. If you are a light sleeper or have young children, it starts to get very loud with street sweepers around 5am. We could go back to sleep but it was disruptive. There is no beach gear whatsoever (even towels), but this is clearly noted in the rental agreement. We ordered 2 beach chairs and they were there upon our arrival. There were only 4 bath towels provided. Overall the building is old, but the unit is beautiful and we would return!

Everything was great. Our only complaint is the cleaning fee is about 2-3 times what anyone else has ever charged me on VRBO. But if you are looking for a nice condo on the beach in a great location this is your place.

Park in the reserved parking space and enjoy all that Balboa has to offer , all within walking distance.Some reviews complained about the noise level ,but we never found that to be a problem ( you are right by the pier and beach so there is going to be some noise , but that is to be expected). The bedrooms are very comfortable and the views from the family room are awesome.Would definitely stay here again.

Weekend Getaway

The location of this property is amazing. It is walking distance to Balboa pier and it has an amazing view of the ocean. The condo is big and fit my family of 6 perfectly. The room was clean and and stocked with supplies such as shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, trash liners, etc. Check in was easy. The thing that I did not like was the condition of the sofa, pillows and bedding. The cushions on the sofa were deflated. The pillows on the beds were literally flat like pancakes--even if you folded over the pillow, it was flat. The bedding seemed old and there was not enough pillow cases for the pillows.

The unit's location, appearance, size, view,convenience to the bike way, pier, beach, and Balboa Island were exactly what we wanted. The underground parking with two spaces was also a great feature. We hope to come back sometime, and would definitely recommend it to someone else. Interaction with the rental team was very prompt and professional.

The downside was no ac and the unit was a bit hot so we had to sleep with windows open which was nice but due to the location a bit noisy at night and early morning. If had ac then could shut windows and have a nice sleep. The other bummer was the skylight in the bunk room where the kids sleep would wake them bright and early, would have been nice to have a cover on that. Otherwise the place was great! Clean and in a great spot.

No air conditioning which normally wouldn't be a problem but on super hot summer days, makes for an uncomfortable stay. Everything is convenient but location is noisy which is the trade off for being in the heart of the action. In general we enjoyed our stay, kitchen was well equipped and everything was clean and in order.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I read the reviews on this place before booking and noted the "noise" factor. We packed our white noise machine and as long as we closed all the master bedroom windows at night (including small bathroom window), we had no issues with noise. The check-in and check-out process was very smooth and simple, though it would have been nice if check-out had been a little later, as our flight did not leave until after 5pm and we had to be out by 10am. The house was exactly like the pictures and extremely comfortable, not to mention, the location couldn't have been more perfect...very convenient to everything. Being from Texas, I was concerned with the unit having no AC but with the small fans in each room, we slept very comfortably. I would definitely stay here again!

It'a a great Beach House!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 600 E Oceanfront 3G was all that the property description said it was. It's a great location, lovely property, clean, and well furnished. I highly recommend this condo. There's a King bedroom with full bath/shower, Queen bedroom and bunk room with 3 beds, that share a full bath/tub. The kitchen is very-well equipped. The gathering room is nice sized with lots of seating. There are two underground parking spaces and another space along the back--more than adequate and convenient. There are restaurants very closeby, bike rentals, boat to Balboa Island, entertainment , volleyball nets, Balboa Pier, and much more. Probably the only disadvantage is the noise/voices on the beach in the evening and early morning (especially in the queen bedroom). That's not a big deal... I hope we have another opportunity to stay there--would do so in a minute!
