It was a mansion and a beautiful one at that

We decided to go to Newport Beach California for my children's holiday. We stayed one week in this amazing home. My brother and his family came along too.The owners of the home live local, so they greeted us right when we arrived. Anthony and Megan were their names. Anthony showed us how to use the TV and surround sound, jacuzzi, bbq and Megan gave us a tour of the home. They even gave us a beautiful basket filled with goodies, and wine, the wine of course being my favorite. We did have one issue with one of the showers, but they had a plumber come fix it the very next day. But there were 5 other working showers, so we were fine without one for the night. We decided to rent the guest house as well for the extra room. The guest house is actually attached to the home by a shared balcony, and there is a bedroom between the guest house and the main house. This bedroom was a lot of fun for the children as it was hidden behind a bookcase. The owners did it this way, so that the room can be used as part of the guest house or as part of the main house. It was brilliant, we felt like we were in a movie in this home. So much more grand then any hotel we have ever stayed at. The guest house has it's own entrance and it's own parking garage. The kitchen facility is absolutely incredible with tons of room for the whole family to gather around while I was doing the cooking. The family room is quite large as well, everything about this home is amazing. We only cooked three of the night that we were there. The other evenings we walked down to the local restaurants. The sunsets were amazing, the neighborhood was quiet.

Wow what a beautiful home

This was a vacation for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. When we arrived we were greeted by the owner Anthony who took about an hour of his time to show us the home and get us familiar with everything. The layout of the house was perfect for us because every bedroom had a nice full bathroom. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for luxury and a comfortable stay. Three years ago we rented on the beach and this was by far better. We went down to the beach on a couple of days when the weather was nice. But staying on the beach comes with the parties and the loud neighbors. We had 5 couples stay and we actually had to send each other text messages at times to communicate because the house was so big. We thought that was really funny. The owner Anthony made us a fabulous dinner on our first night. He had it all prepared and sitting in the fridge with instructions on how to cook it. Every bathroom in the house was stocked with nice towels, shampoo and conditioner. There is a huge family room downstairs off the kitchen where we primarily hung out, but there was also a beautiful family room with a huge flat screen and a pool table upstairs where the boy all hung out. The house was absolutely perfect and we loved everything about it. We walked to dinner three of the nights. The owner sent us to his favorite local restaurant called A Restaurant. Weird name but great happy hour and dinner. It was a little loud for my parents but overall a great place. The owner told us about several other restaurants just across the street from A Restaurant. So, we tried a couple of others throughout the week. We will be staying here again this summer and can't wait.
