The hotel is lovely as were the staff. The only issue was a bad smell coming from the bathroom. I’m guessing it’s the old pipes. It didn’t hamper our trip and the stay was still lovely!

Right in the middle of the action of Balboa Island. Steps from beaches. Great people watching. Lots of restaurants and shops. Vegan options abound.

Came to watch the FIVB volleyball event. Location couldn't be beat, right across the street from the pier and beach. Anthony, the host behind the desk was excellent and was glad to handle any need we had. Would definitely recommend. Lots of restaurants and bars in the area. Was a bit noisy at night, so would recommend ear plugs if you're bothered by noise.

A very beautiful stay! We chose Doryman’s for a romantic overnight stay for our 28th wedding anniversary. It has a Victorian vibe but was one of the most romantic stays and right in the heart of Newport near the beach and pier. I will definitely return for a longer stay!

The staff was very friendly and attentive. We stayed in room six, which is probably the most quietest room they have which was nice. It was in early October, so not as much hustle and bustle as in the summer, which was nice. The location is perfect and the restaurant that is attached, 21 Oceanfront, is great and I would highly recommend. It’s definitely a hotel that I would recommend more for couples and not children.
