This rustic, solar cabin has it's own private hiking trail(100m, steep hill) and private parking area. The trail winds it's way up to your private view overlooking Golden Lake. You will feel tucked away in this cozy spot surrounded by mixed oak forest, sitting atop Canadian Shield rock formations. Included is a propane fireplace, queen bunk bed, bbq, covered deck, picnic table and fire pit. DONT WANT TO HAUL A COOLER UP A HILL? See our website for packages:Gear, Bedding &/or Cabin Couples.

The forest and ponds of the escarpment provide wildlife viewing year round especially in winter with the whitetail deer migration. Don't forget your camera!
This cabin is completely off-grid for a light footprint camping experience with minimal impact to the escarpment environment!
☆Features: Solar powered adjustable lighting inside and outside, no running water and an outside toilet box.
☆Included is: propane, bbq & utensils, propane side burner, wash tub, 7 gallons well water, camping coffee purcolater with filters, folding indoor/outdoor table and 2 chairs, trail map, small first aid kit and charging station; seasonal solar shower.
*off-grid tip: if it isn't a sunny, warm day you may need to add some warmed water;), or pack body wipes.

☆Items to bring:
-Bedding, including sheets and pillows unless ordering our Couple's or Bedding Package;
-Kitchenware, unless ordering our Gear Package/Cooler
-Extra drinking water and backpack -Light coloured, long-sleved shirts and pants &/or bug repellent; -Seasonal hiking footwear for wet areas and rocky terrain.

Campers enjoy access to a escarpment picnic area which is breathtaking for autumn leaf viewing, as well as marked hiking/snowshoeing trails including a trail that leads to a small lake with canoes reserved for cabin guests. Bring a field guide along on a hike to help you identify plants and wildlife--available in your cabin.

The property is beautiful, the hosts were great. There were many amenities provided inside the cabin. Because of the steep and rocky climbI was especially glad water was as provided and I didn’t have to lug it up with me! The propane furnace made for very comfortable nights. My kids, large dog and I found the cabin to be plenty roomy enough for eating and sleeping. We had a delightful time.

Off grid vacation

This cabin was a perfect and private spot for our family vacation. Close to atv trails, swimming and fishing. Everything we could want.
