Nice hotel, But a little disappointed this time.

Nice hotel, Staff etc..as before.... but..... We always book similar adjoining/neighbouring rooms where available, if unavailable, a response would have been appreciated. Our messages appear to have been ignored and, on arrival, we found that one of the two booked Premium King Rooms had been changed to a twin on a different floor to accommodate an unrelated corporate group booking. We had received a stock response offering us an upgrade offer to "Premium" rooms that we had already booked (?) so on this occasion, the personal service experienced before was sadly lacking as well as getting the feeling of being Guests who can be shoved aside to make way for a more important booking..We won:t be returning, and I do believe that they would not really care about this.

Great hotel in the centre of Nottingham. Friendly staff. We stayed in the king room which was very spacious, comfy bed & peaceful for a city centre location. Easy access to tram stop & all the shops & restaurants. Even though it is a big hotel it felt welcoming & lovey bar area,

3rd tine staying at this hotel. Really good central location and short walk into the centre of Nottingham. Another advantage is that it has a massive car park on site and a (slightly) discounted rate. Loved the bed so much we almost stayed a 2nd night!

The hotel is in a good location, very close to the Theatre Royal and Concert Hall. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable but took over the room. The bathroom in room 731 smelt damp. Seal to shower screen was suspect allowing water to spill over. Breakfast was good quality and lots of choice.

Lack of car chargers

Lovely hotel, food and location. However, the main reason we booked this hotel is because we have an electric car and we needed to charge it overnight. There are only 2 chargers at the hotel and neither were working. When I rang the hotel for assistance they were unhelpful, advising me that the chargers had nothing to do with the hotel. As a result the following day I had to waste time finding a charger and wait for the car to be charged.

Check in was quick & staff friendly. Room clean with tea & coffee provided. Only issue was that they put us in an “assisted” room which was more suitable for elderly people. It had a support bar for getting on & off the toilet & support rail the bath / shower. This actually made it extremely difficult to sit on the toilet in a comfortable manner & not knock your arm on the support bar. We had a drink in the bar. Staff were great but again the toilet facilities let it down. Cubicles extremely small and very difficult to get in & out of. I am only a small person & I struggled. I genuinely do not know how larger people would be able to get into the toilet cubicles to use the toilet. Overall pleasant stay but would request a different room next time, as did not request an assisted/ disabled access room.
