I stayed at The Beeches for one night in a one Queen Bed room (Room 41), which was quite small. The hotel staff were great and the bed was very comfortable. There was a decent size car park round the back and the hotel was in a nice residential area, so I felt safe leaving my car.
The biggest issue during my stay was the UPVC window which wouldn't close properly, letting in a lot of road noise from Wilford Lane, which has traffic all night, so I am glad I packed some earplugs! The window and its recess were dirty too, with some black mould. The second issue was the TV which had constant picture breakup with a "Weak or No Signal" message.
Breakfast at The Beeches was very good with a decent selection of food and the cooked food was good quality. Service was good too, with attentive staff.
However, I don't think this hotel meets the standard of a 4 star property. Some areas of the hotel are old. The lift call button sometimes didn't work to call the lift to the second floor. The decor was a little tired in places.
One final point - there's no bath mat and the shower floor was extremely slippery. Take care when getting in and out of the shower.
