This place has changed and the pictures are nowhere near what they offer. The smells are horrid and the black sheets are not a good look. What are they hiding? We were given a key and let go. No WiFi instructions or check out instructions. This is not a place for families.

Very good for the price. We slept well in the beds. The shower worked fine. The hotel is old and it shows here and there.

This hotel was not worth the budget price we paid. It was completely rundown and sketchy. I am sure the staff did what they could to clean, but it was an extreme dissapointment. The name of the hotel online does not match the building. No one answered the door to let us in upon arrival, we had to enter through the bar. The shower drain did not work in the room and would have flooded the bathroom. The light did not work above the sink. There should be a warning about how many flights of stairs there are to the rooms. We have dubbed this part of our holiday as "The Scary Clary." Positives: fun adult and kid game room. Close to downtown area & ferry.

Good stay in the Clary

The staff are very friendly and welcoming the room was basic but clean and had everything we needed we had room 1 and the beds were small but very comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for a cheap no frills stay in Oban,also great location for ferry and train station.

Two or three long flights of stairs to get to tourist rooms. Quiet despite the ground floor pub and evening live bands, which I didn’t hear. Great location and quite inexpensive.

There was nothing to like. Room run down, dirty, malodorous...sewerage odour from bathroom. Toilet lifting off uneven floor.

The room was spacious and overall clean, a typical "budget" accommadation in terms of furniture. Location ideal for train station and ferry terminal. Bed was uncomfortable and the live music from downstairs was rather loud and went on till past midnight.

It was a bit rundown. It's a pub for the locals. The guests who stayed above my room were very loud until early hours of the morning. I won't stay there again.

The hotel room was ok. Good area of town. We are from Australia where water is very expensive, in this room the shower had to run for an unacceptable time before warm water. Standing naked waiting for hot waternis not much fun, kepp your clothes on people while you eait foe the warm water for a shower.

Room was fine - emergency stay after ferry was cancelled. A blind for the Velux window would be good - room was flooded with light from early morning. Not a complaint, more of a suggestion. Location good for ferry services.
