Good economical place to stay by the ocean!

The staff was very helpful and friendly! The breakfast was good, but no eggs and they didn’t refill them. Waffle maker and biscuits and gravy with sausages, so good offerings. Website said they had 3 hot tubs, so we were looking forward to finding a quiet one, but only 1, and in the very loud pool room, so didn’t stay in there very long! Overall a nice place to stay. Oh, toilets need to be cleaned better!

We booked for two queen beds as it was my husband, me and our teenage son, plus two dogs. We went to check in at 8:30pm on an holiday weekend and were told our room was “unavailable” due to an issue with the bathroom. They told us all that they had to offer us was a room with a king bed. They had not got or pull out bed to offer. They never called us in advance to notify us. I was going to just go elsewhere, but unfortunately it was a holiday weekend and there was nothing else available. My son ended up sleeping on the hard floor. They offered a padded blanket, but it was not padded. It was essentially a very thin comforter. They offered to upgrade us the next day, but they still only had rooms with a king bed available and a pull out bed. So, we got “upgraded” to the suite (the “very expensive” room according to them). We had to move all of our stuff (they did offer to let us keep the room we were currently in also, but no need to have two separate rooms for three of us). The best part about the suite was the view. The door wouldn’t latch unless you slammed it shut. We had a worker look at it and that’s what he told us to do. The bathroom door didn’t latch either. We took the cushions off of the couch to pull the bed out and there was salt and old French fries on it. The pull out bed was super noisy. The nicest part about the hotel was the lobby. Everything else definitely needs an upgrade. There were so many great reviews, but unfortunately our visit wasn’t one of them.

Management was very easy going. They didn’t kick people out right when the pool closes and if you are in the breakfast room before 930 you can stay as long as you want. I like being able to have an actual ocean view room on the 3rd floor with my pet which isn’t common in Ocean Shores. The only complaint is i never got my room made up during even though I put the sign out and the pet fee of $30 night is a lot. Would stay again though.

Room was dirty and very out dated compared to rooms we stayed in this hotel previous. The pull out couch cover was completely stained and had dirt all over it. Maybe it’s the new owners but this place was once a favorite. For the price and previous stays I expected more.

Mediocre at best but not the worst

The location is close to town which I liked but we would not stay here again. We had a pet room and there were pet stains on the carpet that looked fresh. I felt that since they charge extra for pets they could at least clean the mess. I didn’t walk around without shoes. The beds are advertised as Queens but four of us agreed they looked like double/full size. The beds are very hard and uncomfortable. One of the beds was broken. The mattress on the pull out bed was disgusting and coming apart. The room was not properly stocked with towels for the amount of people in our reservation, not the biggest deal but with a mediocre hotel it’s the little things that can improve the experience.

This experience has been… well… not a $200+ per night experience. Called and asked if we could check in early. Were told yes our room was ready. We showed up and they charged us another $20 for the check in. So we check in and head to the room. There’s a diaper and old garbage in one of the beds. Headed down to the office to alert them on the way out to an activity. Upon return, the diaper is gone, but the garbage is there still, and no bedding. Try to call down to get new bedding, and the phone doesn’t work. Head down to the office, they just hand us new bedding for us to deal with. Fine. Winding down after our day and decide to turn on a show. Tv doesn’t work. We haven’t checked out yet… but I’m sure there will be more I’ll wish I had waited to mention.
