Newly built retreat close to skiing and amazing amenities. Modern Farmhouse Design with a Sauna, HotTub and fire pit. Come experience our amazing location by Lagoon, Downtown Ogden and the popular Gold Spike Arena. Ski at Powder Mountain, Nordic Valley or Snowbasin. Echo Lake, Willard Bay, and Pine View Reservoir offer world class fishing experiences. Miles of Hiking Trails near by. Have fun with your off road toys by taking them out to Locomotive Springs or OCA Motocross Track right around the corner!

Full basement apartment, fully stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Sleeping Arrangements:
Bedroom 1 - Queen Bed w/ closet and enough room for air mattress or pack-n-play. (Both Provided)
Bedroom 2 - Queen Bed w/ larger closet.
Common Areas- Living room has space for an air mattress.

Both Rooms have black out curtains.

Fully stocked, full size kitchen. Full size refrigerator, dish washer, stove/oven, microwave, spices, coffee/tea/hot coco, blender, pressure cooker, silverware. We stocked the kitchen with you in mind in order to provide you with anything you could possibly need in a kitchen.

Mudroom:
Great place to leave your ski equipment and gear. Coat hangers with boot/glove dryer. The light switch is motion activated to keep you from having to search for a light switch in the dark.

Laundry: Brand new, Full size stacked washer and dryer next to our lovely sauna. Laundry detergent provided.

Wifi: Gig speed wifi is available. Plenty of speed to go around to ensure buffer free entertainment.

Much fun awaits you inside and out. There is a sauna in the laundry room for you to enjoy. 50" Roku Smart TV with complimentary YouTube TV and many other options for you entertainment. Feel free to sign into any streaming account you desire. Board games are available inside the cabinets underneath the TV.

Backyard: Enjoy the hot-tub, grill, fire pit and seating area outside on the patio. The lower patio area is reserved for you. The remainder of the back yard is a shared space with my family and our family dog. He is a Cockapoo named Floki, and weighs about 25 lbs. Floki is an indoor, hyper allergenic shed free pup. He's usually only outside when we let him out. Feel free to allow the kids to play in the large grass area, play volley ball, Frisbee golf or jump on the trampoline. There is even a bad ding cage your welcome use upon request. We are very friendly and love to meet new people, but also respect your privacy. Do not hesitate to say hello. We are here on property and can respond to your needs very quickly. Just reach out through the app, a text or a phone call.

This is a basement apartment and we do live above you. We will respectively try our best to keep the kiddos tame and try to prevent the noise coming from above. If at anytime you feel bothered, please let us know. On school nights, it is quiet after 9:00 pm and on weekends or holidays it will be quiet after 11:00 pm.

Absolute gem!

Can’t say enough great things about The Wright Retreat! Communication was great; home was spotless; plenty of dishes and utensils, pots and pans; dish soap; towels; shampoo, conditioner, and body wash; perfect location; plenty of bedding; pack and play; extra mattress; two blow up mattresses; high chair. We’ll definitely look to stay here first anytime we’re in the area and cannot recommend it more!

Short Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rental was immaculate, roomy, well stocked. The hot tub with mountain views were a great place to wind down after a day of exploring. Nicely located about 45 minutes from Salt Lake City, there was plenty to do as outdoor enthusiasts. Hiking in Ogden Canyon was incredible. Birdwatching throughout the region was exceptional. Perhaps the best part was a visit to Antelope Island and communing with the Bison herds. Great food throughout. Must try the Utah Scone and honey butter at Sill's Cafe in Layton (about 20 minute drive). The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful. Loved meeting Rocco the Frenchie. The only drawback was that the trip ended to soon.

Sisters Weekend

The property was perfect for the 4 of us. We had a couple of requests and Dessa was great at responding. We didn't make it out to the hot tub, but the sauna was a wonderful way to end each day. We didn't have any problems finding the property and the check in instructions were spot on. I would definitely recommend this property to anybody looking to be in that part of Utah. It was actually a pretty easy drive to Salt Lake City as well.

Very nice!

The host was very responsive. The backyard and trampoline were enjoyed by our children. I loved the grill and got tub. Our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Peaceful setting for Sisters Weekend

My 3 sisters and I stayed here for 3 nights. We utilized the hot tub and sauna, as well as the crock pot and blender in the very well-stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable, the livingroom fit all four of us on the couches to watch a movie, the dining table was big enough to do our crafts at, and the bedroom hall had a darling desk and mirror that was a perfect staging area for doing make-up and hair for our one night out on the town. We reached out to the hosts once and had a reply within 10 minutes. We also felt very safe in the neighborhood and felt in the middle of the country, though stores were only a few minutes away.

Very convenient and cozy!

In town for a softball tourney at the fairgrounds complex. So close and easy for us! The space was great. We were able to spread out which was nice. Kitchen was very well equipped. Grilled on the patio multiple times. Being in town for a week, the retreat was perfect! Thank you!

Exceeded expectations!!

The only problem with this property is that it has raised my standards for future properties!! This place is just perfect! Exactly like the pictures! The Wrights literally have everything you need in the retreat! Our family stay was just fantastic from the sauna to the hot tub to the fireplace everything was so well thought out! We will definitely be back here!! Do yourself a favor and book it…it’s worth it!!

Nicest VRBO we've stayed in

We loved this place so much. First off, I did the payment wrong, and the owner was so helpful and kind. We got to the rental and it was so easy to figure out everything. The comfort level was top of the line. I even took some photos so I can try to replicate some of the decor at my home. Truly, I'd recommend this to anyone. We drove to Powder Mountain daily and it was about 40 minutes due to heavy snowfall.

Fantastic place to explore Ogden!

The Wright Retreat was everything you want in a VRBO. Clean, quiet, modern, stocked, plus an awesome sauna and hot tub exclusively for the guests! The beds are extremely comfortable, the rooms are dark, kitchen has everything you need plus a private grill out back. The hosts were also extremely responsive while still giving us our space. Would definitely recommend. Thanks Wrights!

We loved our stay at the property. It was very clean and comfortable. Beds were very cozy. The best part of the stay was being able to relax in the the hot tub and sauna after a long day of snowboarding.

Luxury living and gourmet kitchen!

The Farr West property was exactly as described online. Cozy, clean, and extremely well appointed, this renovated basement has all of the amenities you could ever need! The kitchen had everything you could ask for and more, the hot tub and sauna were above and beyond, and the living room was comfortable and relaxing with the electric fireplace. It was only about a 35 minute drive to Powder Mountain for downhill skiing, and about the same to North Fork Park for cross-country skiing. We would stay here again without hesitation!

We really did enjoy the place. I guess the only negative star for me was only because this is in the basement of a home. I thought we were staying at a stand alone place. My mistake. The owners were very accommodating as we were there to deal with a tough situation over the christmas holiday and needed a quiet space and that was a bit tough with a family having a fun time (as they absolutely should have been doing!) upstairs. We asked to stay an extra day before we knew it was a basement apartment, and I wish the homeowner would have at least told us they were having a holiday gathering or we would have stayed somewhere else. They were more than willing to shut the party down at a reasonable hour, which I really appreciated. Just be aware, you can hear everyone moving around above you. If you need a quiet space this is not it. But.... it was a lovely place. They have done a great job. They seem like wonderful people.
