SEASIDE SCOOP
The rental doesn’t have central air, however, it is equipped with window AC units in select windows to ensure a cool and comfortable stay during warmer days. As the home is older, there are steep stairs to navigate. You may also hear a dog barking occasionally from the neighborhood. Please note that guests do not have access to the garage during their stay.

Nice Location to the Beach

This house is divided into three different units. We rented all three to accommodate our group. Unit A has all 3 bedrooms on the upper floor but the only bathroom is on the ground floor. The stairs are narrow and a litttle steep so it was a little difficult with some mobility issues. Unit B is on one level but the bedroom is small and one side of the bed is against a wall which makes it difficult fto get out of bed whenr two people are sleeping. Although, this unit does have a pull out couch in the living area . We did not use it so I can’t commit on its comfort. Unit 3 has two bedrooms and a very small bathroom and the unit is entered by going up a very steep staircase. The bedrooms are opposite side of the unit but there is only one window unit located in the main bedroom. The smaller bedroom became very hot during the day and never really cooled off during the night. Granted, I am told the weather was warmer than usual. One of the best part about this house was the outside table , games and firepit. Since we had rented all three units we were able to enjoy it completely without sharing. The property management company was easy to work with and responded quickly when the code they sent me did not work on one of the units. The issue was resolved easily.

The house is exactly as described and the management company was very responsive. Location is great and we had a wonderful week. My only complaints are that units A and C have only one air conditioning unit. It was super uncomfortable in the downstairs of unit A and the 2nd bedroom of Unit C. Those areas were not usable on the hot days. Also, the outdoor space is great with games and a nice firepit and long table. But the dogs next door are very close and bark constantly. This is not the fault of the owners, but something to consider. It was impossible to even have a conversation outside because the dogs would bark every time someone moved or spoke. I love dogs and can normally tune out barking. But that was a lot for even me.

Family gathering

The outdoor space for a family gathering was very nice. The location was good, and could walk to old orchard beach and downtown in 10 to 15 minutes. The apartments were just OK, for the high price charged. This was a big house broken up into 3 separate living units. Think "off campus housing style" near a college campus with a similar level of quality (mediocre at best). The unit constructed from the second floor attic space has very low ceilings (if you are over 6 feet, watch your head!). Soap wasn't supplied for the bathrooms. So it was a good place for a family reunion. Just make sure to not overpay (like we did) as this is not the four seasons.
