Enjoy a memorable escape on the beach AND in the woods at your private luxury cabin on Lake Michigan's beachfront. Feels like the North Woods, but is just 45 min north of Milwaukee.

Unique to the area is this special cabin surrounded by woods with a sandy beach for those who like days on the shore, making fireside memories, stargazing, walks, and fun surrounded by nature's best. Many activity options in the huge, grassy yard (basketball, old-fashioned play equipment, fire pits...)!

How nice is the cabin? Fully remodeled with newer high-quality furniture, beds, appliances, 2 washer/dryers. 3 BRs = 1 Queen, 1 Queen + pullout, 2 twins, plus a den with a pullout. 2 bath. This house is decorated and stocked, based on extensive travel experience, for those who like comfort, luxury, and cleanliness.

What is nearby? The cabin is located down a woodsy lane on a large Lake Michigan sandy beach. Steps from Kohler-Andrae State Park and minutes from Kohler's American Club & Spa, PGA-renowned Whistling Straights golfing, Sheboygan's Blue Harbor WaterPark, and other special small-town nooks, crannies, and watering holes. (Several less-expensive public golf-courses are close by as well.)

What can you do at Nelly's cabin? Spend a day on the beach, makes s’mores by the fire, play cards or yard games, read books, gaze at the stars and the wildlife, walk the shore, take a hike in the State Park. With fire pits and chairs on the beach and in the large yard, and a full size wood burning fireplace inside, you can play or rest with friends, or chill with a book and a glass of wine as you enjoy your time inside or outside on the property's several sitting areas. We provide plenty of outdoor chairs and blankets for your campfires, and some games/outdoor toys. (Public Pickleball and Tennis courts are a just a few minutes away in the town of Oostburg or Sheboygan.)

Nature lover? Nature is the norm as your senses are engaged by colorful leaves, starry skies, crashing waves, chirping birds, prancing deer, squirrels, frogs, turtles, and other wildlife in the woodsy scenery. For those who like to hike or go for a leisurely walk, there are several trails and walking dunes in Kohler Andre State Park a few hundred yards up the beach.

When should I rent? Whether you are planning your visit in the summer, fall, winter, or spring, there is nothing quite like being tucked the woods on a Great Lake with different views and experiences being offered each season. (Many of our visitors choose to re-rent, and summers and fall/winter holidays can fill up months in advance.)

The cabin and wooded setting were spectacular! The coziness and spaciousness of Nelly's Place was outstanding. Exceptionally clean and beautiful inside and out. Furniture was abundant, very comfortable and the wood burning fireplace was wonderful. It was cool and rainy much of the time, so a perfect time to enjoy a fire. Lots of places to spread out.Jeremy was an excellent and generous host, very prompt in responding to any questions. Thank you for making your sweet cabin available. We got EXACTLY what we hoped for in our stay - a serene, beautiful setting, cozy, warm and inviting home, and steps away from the beauty of our happy place - Lake Michigan. Beds were comfortable. House is clean, well stocked, and very nicely decorated. Host was super easy to reach when I had a question. Only thing I would change - ditch the nonstick pans for some others, or get new ones. The non stick surfaces were scratched and peeling which is very unappealing to cook on. Otherwise, I wish I could live in this house!!

This is a great house right by the beach and Kohler Andrae State Park, but also has a quiet location in the woods. Super clean and well-maintained, host communication was perfect. The basketball court and playground are really nice for kids even when it's not beach season. Hopefully we will be back!

It’s a perfect place away from hustle and bustle yet just a short drive to shops and restaurants in nearby towns. Going to bed with a full moon over the lake, then watching the sunrise the next morning. Birthday Celebration

We decided to celebrate my milestone birthday in one of my favorite settings which is a cozy cabin in the woods near water. This accommodation did not disappoint. The property felt private and secluded with views of woods, Lake Michigan and even a few deer. The hosts thought of everything and there was not one thing they overlooked. We were there the weekend when the temps were -23 with the windchill, yet we were toasty warm! The hosts were wonderful and impressively responsive. We are hoping to return again! Thanks so much!!!

Great Family Beach Getaway

What a great find!

Our family of seven loved this house! Everything was as advertised and even better! The beach was clean and very close, the deck was spacious and comfortable and the fire pits were large enough for our whole family to enjoy. The bed linens and towels were an expected high point. We had a very nice stay at Eric's cabin. He did everything he could to make our stay memorable. He brought in extra wood and more chairs for the fire pit. Wonderful stay at Nelly’s!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Nelly’s Cabin. This is our second time staying here (last time was in 2021). We enjoyed relaxing at the beach, hiking at Kohler Andrae, making s’mores, playing basketball, etc. We also just loved hiking down the gravel road through the wooded area around the property. Saw lots of deer, frogs, birds, etc. Seeing a barred owl on one of our evening hikes was awesome! Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing spot. We hope to return again some day!😊

It was the perfect unplugged family getaway! Beautiful property, well stocked home. The onlt negative things we experienced were all in regards to the weather and dead fish on the beach and obviously the host has no control over that. Lovely Lake Michigan Cabin

This is just the type of place I like to rent for a quiet weekend away with a group. Old time character with just the right amount of modern updates - dishwasher, comfortable beds and linens, decent bathrooms. The cabin is well stocked with games, firewood, blankets and towels. We did lots of cooking, had a sunny beach day and a rainy fireside day over the course of our weekend. We were lucky enough that there were no bugs in sight so we spent lots of time on the deck, had a bonfire and took naps in hammocks. The kitchen is a bit snug but suitable to fix meals for sharing. The cabin is set back off of the shore in the woods as pictured. We also took a few walks down the beach to the park and had a hysterical game of HORSE on the court. Would love to come back with my family. The setting is perfect for children as well with lots of playground amenities. Summer camp vibes for sure. What a bucolic spot - will definitely stay again if we have the chance.
