Welcome to our beautifully crafted Northwest home, where you can enjoy stunning year-round sunsets and over 400 ft. of rocky shoreline!

With end-of-the-road privacy, the home features a gorgeous stone fireplace, a Chef's Kitchen, and heated tile flooring. Fiber optic internet makes remote work a breeze while adventure awaits right outside! Relax on the sun-filled decks, stroll through the Madrona trees, or cozy up around the outdoor fireplace. Hook's Nest is the perfect island getaway.

Though we enjoy meeting our guests, we do offer a contactless check-in process. You'll receive directions and access information a few days before your arrival date. Once your reservation is confirmed, you'll receive our Host's contact information, so you can reach out for any special requests or questions.

Set in a quiet, rural neighborhood just minutes from the Orcas Island Ferry landing, Hook's Nest is one of several exclusive waterfront homes in this neighborhood. With five acres and a private driveway, you'll be able to enjoy the peace and privacy of this exquisite location.

Our beautiful Craftsman home features a main-level master bedroom ensuite with a king bed and a walk-in closet. The private bathroom boasts heated floors, a walk-in shower, and stunning custom tile work. On the third level, you'll find two cozy bedrooms, each with a queen bed and a shared bathroom that includes a tub and shower combo, also with heated floors and custom tile.

The lower level is perfect for family fun, featuring a spacious family room, another full bathroom, and a media room with three extra twin beds—ideal for kids and young adults!

Designed by Vandervort Architects, our home blends sustainability with its natural setting. Placed along the southwest-facing water's edge, surrounded by five acres of Madrona and Fir trees, this home is intentionally designed to take in the breathtaking sunsets and enjoy the abundant wildlife every day! 🌲

Fabulous house and location

Our group of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hooks Nest. It’s a beautiful house in a perfect setting. We struggled, tho, with the high-tech switches for the lights. And we never did figure out how to use the washing machine. Not sure if this was our user problem or something with the appliance.

Hooks Nest = paradise in paradise

This home is easily the best rental we’ve had. Location was prime, the views exquisite, privacy abounds, it is so well stocked and supplied you’d be hard pressed to find a single item missing and with eight adults and one three yr old we cooked, slept, lounged, bbq’d, sat at the fire and admired the views from every angle and never went without.

Incredible Oracs home

We loved staying at Hooks Nest - this was our second year at the home. The house is beautifully finished, immaculately clean, and well-stocked for a comfortable stay. Sherri, the host, was easy to get in touch with. The view at the house is particularly spectacular - we loved looking out at the water from so many rooms. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Had our annual family vacation at this home. The home was clean and beautiful. Loved the decks and outside fireplace. The view was beyond gorgeous. Home had everything we needed. The whole family will be reminiscing about this year's vacation for years to come.

Wonderful!

Amazing rental property secluded on orcas island. Had a family reunion here and thought it was amazing. Amazing amenities and we will definitely be staying here again. I will say on a hotter day (it was record temperatures in July) it can get hot on second floor because there is no AC. We used fans in closet and opened windows at night (cools off down into the 50s) and we were fine, but something to be aware of. Again I highly recommend this home to anyone traveling to orcas. Dave

Gorgeous Property

This property was amazing. The view is gorgeous. Then add in the home is beautiful and very comfortable. There is everything in the home you would need or want. Even more. There were interesting books in almost every room to enjoy. An added surprise. The deck made the perfect place to read and enjoy the stunning water view during down times. The home is close to hiking and kayaking, so in all, this place can not be beat in my eyes. We want to return!

The most beautiful home I’ve been to on the island hands down. Incredible views and architecture of the home. Exceptional experience

This property is exceptional in every way. The location is quiet and private. There is the occasional fog horn from the ferry, of course, but other than that, this is a very serene place to be. The house was beautiful. The architectural attention to detail truly made this a wonderful time for my wife and me.

Spectacular home and location

Not only is Hook’s Nest spotless, well maintained and equipped, the home also boasts one of the best views and locations on the island. Peaceful and quiet yet just a short drive to the ferry and town. We all loved relaxing watching the boats go by and enjoying stunning sunsets each night. Everything is in top shape and felt almost brand new from comfortable beds, plenty of linens/towels to well stocked kitchen and excellent outdoor BBQ grill. We look forward to coming again!!

Even better than advertised!

I cannot say enough about this property on Orcas Island. It was even better than expected, and our expectations were already high. The setting is magnificent - with stunning sunrise/sunsets and ferries going by daily -- but the house itself is the best we've ever rented. It is perfect for a large family, with multiple gathering spaces. The attention to architectural detail and craftsmanship sets it apart, and the kitchen is remarkable. I would rent this property over and over again. Thanks, too, to the super property manager who guided us through check-in and check-out.

Wow what a gorgeous house and view!

My wife and I had an amazing stay at Hook's Nest. The posted pictures are not as grand as the actual stunning beauty in person. This house, this property, really is as good as it gets on Orcas. The house was clearly designed and built to flaunt the natural beauty around it while offering peace, privacy, and comfort. Three days of bliss was rejuvenating to our lives. Orcas Island Family Getaway

Absolutely beautiful home in a stunning location. Complete privacy yet close to the ferry and grocery store. The home was designed and constructed by architects and contractors of the highest caliber. Kitchen was completely equipped and all of the basic spices, condiments, cooking oils , etc. we’re in stock. The den had a large collection of DVDs and there were numerical TVs in the house, although we didn’t find the time to watch any. Indoor and outdoor fireplaces both functioned flawlessly. We had three adult couples and two teenagers and everyone had beautiful accommodations. Wonderful place to reconnect with your loved ones and your inner self. Best vacation rental we have ever booked and look forward to our next visit!
