Located on the French side, it’s an easy drive from the airport (loads of rental car options at the airport) to this attractive hotel. Stairs can be avoided to the restaurant, but not to the accommodation.... we have stayed here twice now, once in a suite and once in a room. Both are comfortable accommodations, with the suite being larger. A small fridge, Nespresso, toaster and coffee pot as well as plates and wine glasses and cutlery are available in each unit.
This week we stayed in the room called vanilla. It has a nice balcony with a large palm tree placed in such a way that it shades the deck for most of the morning. Perfect protection from the tropical sun! Breakfast is delivered to the room...still warm croissants, pan chocolat, crunchy baguette, fresh fruit salad, juice, butter, jams and honey, and coffee (cappuccino was our choice). Lovely pampering.
There is a small, nicely landscaped swimming pool close to the rooms. Very comfortable seating choices either full sun or shade. The hotel has a sister hotel on the beach over in Grand Case, a seven minute drive, where you can enjoy the beach furniture at no charge.
The restaurant has a very very good reputation. The cuisine is French with tropical influence. There is a three course luncheon menu for 24Euro which looked like a great deal, but we never tried. Dinners were outstanding!! Try the lobster bisque, the scallop carpaccio, the beef with morel sauce, fish of the day. Extensive wine list.
