LOVELY RIVER HOUSE - Packwood, Washington

Enjoy this northwest paradise on the Cowlitz River. The Lovely River House is only 16 miles from White Pass Ski Resort and even less to Mt. Rainier's Paradise Entrance - Steven's Canyon.

Enjoy unobstructed views of the national forest on the Cowlitz River. Step off the deck to the river's edge or relax on the huge deck with a cup of coffee in the morning and your favorite cocktail in the evening after a day of skiing, hiking or fishing. The possibilities are endless.
The space
The LOVELY RIVER HOUSE is designed for relaxation and fun with family and friends. Enjoy views from every room of this well-appointed home. We are located near White Pass, Mt. Rainier and Packwood should you choose to leave or, stay home as you are already on the water.

*Kitchen*
Gas range, granite counter tops and ample seating are located centrally in the home. Enjoy preparing meals and time together in this well equipped kitchen. Custom back-lit stained glass cabinets add ambiance to lovely dinners and cocktail hour.

Custom Table can seat 6 or step through the sliding doors to the outdoor seating, turn on the propane heater if it is cold and enjoy the stunning view of the river. Turn on the outdoor speakers and listen to your favorite music while enjoying nature and time with your loved ones. The barbecue is plumbed for gas - all that is needed is your grilling skills.

*Patio/Deck*
The outdoor deck wraps from the front all the way around to the back of the house. The deck is BIG. It is a great place to relax with friends or enjoy a solitary moment on the original "Pigtail" lift chair from White Pass. We've watched elk come and water in the evenings and it's a treat to turn on the deck lights at night and watch the bats feed on the bugs.

*Living Area*
The sunken living area has floor to ceiling windows with a custom couch and two reclining leather chairs. Enjoy the gas fireplace while watching your favorite movie or game; although, the view will distract you! The living room's wet bar has a custom stained glass cabinet with a beer-drinking, skiing snow-man adding to the seasonal charm during winter!

*Sleeping*
Master bedroom
The master bedroom has a custom designed king size bed. The slider in the master bedroom opens up to the deck and a private sitting area. Leave the blinds open and wake up to the river! The room has a TV and an en-suite with double sinks.
-First Aid Kit is located in master bath

Follow the stairs with the custom cedar railing created by a local artist to the other two bedrooms. You'll find the rooms quiet as the walls are double insulated.

We have ample parking for multiple vehicles.
Other things to note
Our home is in the mountains. Weather changes; so, please be prepared. You assume all responsibility for your safety. The outdoors can be dangerous - the outdoors - mountains, river, hiking, skiing etc... must be respected.

The power could go out - there is a flashlight and extra blankets.

Always be prepared!

Miscellaneous:
The Lovely River House will be stocked with toilet paper and paper towels upon your arrival. Extra paper products may be purchased in town.
Please note the Central AC works best in the main part of the house. The upstairs bedrooms may get warm during the summer. Extra fans provided.

We respectfully request all Thursday guests roll the garbage can to the end of the driveway, if possible.

We have two outside fire pits - one near the outdoor deck and one river side. Please SUPPLY YOUR OWN WOOD (available in town) & honor Lewis County BURN BANS.
