I have stayed in four other units at Plaza Villas, and they were all wonderful—clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. Unfortunately, this specific unit managed by Oranj Palm was the complete opposite and a legitimate safety risk for my 83-year-old mother.Dangerous Heat Policy: Despite outdoor temperatures hitting 104 F, the management has signs posted threatening fines if the AC is set below 75F. For a senior citizen or anyone with health vulnerabilities, 75 F in triple-digit heat is unsafe. When we raised this, we were met with excuses rather than concern for guest safety.This is in all Oranj Palm Rentals. Do not rent for them if you want to be comfortable.Vermin Infestation: We discovered cockroaches in the unit. Management's only solution was toxic pest control, which was not an option as my mother is a cancer survivor. They refused to provide a non-toxic alternative or a refund for the uninhabitable conditions.Substandard Condition: Unlike the other beautiful units in this complex, this one had heavily stained carpets and a bed so broken that staff tried to 'fix' it with a foam pad.The front office staff are kind, but the management policies and property maintenance are unacceptable. If you value cleanliness and a safe climate-controlled environment, I strongly recommend booking a different unit in this complex through a different host. If you have already rented this unit and can get your money back, please do yourself a favor and do so.

Fantastic location - have stayed at the Plaza Villas many times and always enjoy the property. This unit was very clean, some noise issues since it is at the corner of the property adjacent to a fairly busy intersection. Front door access could be better - three locks with three different keys was a bit excessive. Great service and communication from property owner.

Warm in Palm Springs

The unit is as the photos show, and it was clean and neat and very well appointed. It is in a perfect location - walking distance to downtown and many stores & restaurants. The only challenges we had with the unit were: (1) there was a notice by the thermostat that it couldn't be lowered below 75 degrees or the entire HVAC system would freeze up. As a consequence, the unit was warmer than was comfortable for me. (2) It was noisy - it sounded like something was running all the time but we couldn't determine what that was. (3) the directions to the unit weren't good - one of the roads was closed and the directions we were given were extremely small print (4) we didn't find the units or parking spaces to be numbered in a logical fashion, so it took quite a bit of time to find the correct parking space (numbers need to be repainted), complex map or the unit. Folks at the pool had to help us. Directions to the secondary lot weren't clear either - unpacking from that unlocked lot would have been much easier.

Great cozy little place

I really enjoyed staying at the apartment. The location is excellent and close to most places downtown. The property where the apartment is located is very clean and well kept. The pools and the hot tub were lovely. The only thing that I was unhappy with was the check in process. It was not clear that I had to check in and pick up the keys at a different location. If you don’t have a car, it can be a little inconvenient since the check in location is not a walking distance from the apartment location.

Awesome location to downtown!

Check in was lengthy. A long line up to pick up keys at 3pm. But of course you could get into your rental for a fee! Damp towels left in the washer. I ran out of propane and after the 3rd call on the 3rd day, a new tank was delivered. There was no “welcome to home”, booklet outlining how to operate the 3 remotes, where the large dumpster garbage containers were located, a lack of cleaning supplies to wash the tile floors, how to access the parking stalls. According to the rental company, it is the homeowners responsibility to provide this. Would I go back? Maybe…but not likely.

Condo VRBO Palm Springs Stay

VRBO was great to deal with as was the property manager for this Condo rental in Palm Springs. The condo unit itself was nice and the property was great. The furnishings were a little rough with the bedroom dresser being broke and kitchen cabinetry was also broke. The condo unit needs some TLC from the owner of the property to make this a great unit to stay at.

Many Shortcomings

The location of the complex was good, right behind casino and close to town, but this unit was closest to a busy street and very noisy. The living room chairs were so worn out and uncomfortable that had to use a lawn chair when we had company. Unit is also in need of updating. Bottom line, there are probably many other better choices at this price point.

Great place in Palm Springs.

This was my first HomeAway experience in Palm Springs and I wold do it again in a heartbeat. This was the perfect place to stay. Movie theater right down the street. Casino right across the street. A 5 minute walk to downtown Palm Springs. This location was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Perfect for the solo traveler.

Best Palm Springs location.

Wife and I just spent December 2018 at Plaza Villas. Have spent 1 to 2 months annually in the Palm Springs area for at least 15 years. This is the best location for walking to the many restaurants, shops, casino, Art museum, street fair and many other activities. The Villas offers a friendly community atmosphere at the pool/hot tub area. Landscaping is very attractive. Oranj Palm, the property manager for this unit, was very responsive for any needs.
