The square itself is framed by grandiose buildings housing some of the world's most prestigious jewelers. Food and sweets are nearby as well, with the popular vegan restaurant Wild & the Moon a great stop before grabbing chocolates at Jean-Paul Hévin. Better still, Place Vendome is close to the peaceful green space of the Tuileries Garden and the Musée de l'Orangerie, where you can view Monet’s water lilies murals. Transportation is effortless in Place Vendôme, with the Opéra and Tuileries metro stations nearby, serving lines 1, 3, 7, 8, and 14.
