Welcome to our nest located in the heart of the Latin Quarter 5th district of Paris, 200 yards from Notre Dame, Ile de la Cite, the river Seine and 50 yards from the oldest church of Paris, St-Julien-Le-Pauvre and the famous bookstore Shakespeare & Company.
While in a lively neighborhood packed with cafes, restaurants, art movie houses, the rue Galande is a quaint cobblestone historic street only accessible by pedestrians as no cars are allowed to park and drive on it.
You are 5/10 minutes walk from several universities and "grandes écoles" such as Sorbonne, College de France, Paris-Descartes, Lycée Henri IV (school district for undergrad "prépas"), Ecole Normale Supérieure etc... and other attractive districts such as Le Marais, Ile Saint-Louis, Luxembourg, artsy rue de Seine etc...
The 1 bedroom apartment is 430 square feet and is located on the third floor of a small, secured (digicode by exterior door and locked interior gate) and well maintained 18th century building. You can walk up the stairs or use the convenient elevator.
The living area has a very open floor plan with 4 large/tall double windows overlooking the street so it is very luminous (southeastern exposure) and has a perception of volume thanks to its 10 feet high beam ceilings.
It has a fully equipped kitchen with new quartz countertop, espresso machine, tea kettle, toaster, induction cooktop and combined microwave/oven.
