It was very old curtains were practically blowing on me while I was in bed, toilet did not flush great. Staff was nice and room was clean. The doors to get in the room were outside

Hotel has not been maintained. Had to change rooms after unpacking and discovering the bathtub faucet did not work. In second room, the house phone did not work. Heating system very loud (disturbing sleep) and had no continuous fan. The two ice makers near our rooms were non-functioning. Had to walk a long way to a separate building to get ice. I booked here because of the reviews and the breakfast. So, the breakfast was good and hot. A good variety to choose from. The room seemed clean but it needed some upgrades. My toddler walked around the room and his socks got really dirty. Everything in the bathroom needed some upgrades. It made it look cheap in comparison to what I paid for ONE night! The staff was very friendly, tho. Overall, it was ok. Looks like that is the best around that city. So, I can't imagine how the other hotels might look

The first thing we noticed when we walked in the room was the strange smell. And then it just got worse. The bed was absolutely horrible - the mattress needs to be replaced IMMEDIATELY, along with the very creaky frame. It took forever for the water to get hot. The floor in the bathroom was extremely slippery. The carpeting was filthy. About the only good thing I can say is that breakfast was really good - lots of choices, and everything was very tasty.

The room was very clean and staff very nice. My only issue wasn't with the hotel at all, but even with foam ear plugs, I did hear the trains. Again, no fault of the hotel, but if you're a light sleeper, maybe request a room on the other side of the building? I did have a nice room with a balcony and that might be why it seemed loud. I have stayed here before (without a balcony), and wasn't woken by the trains. The breakfast choices were great and easy freeway access were also big pluses. Also, good wifi. I would probably stay here again, but just ask for a different room situation. The room was also really nice. It had a comfortable reading chair and a nice desk.
