I have no complaints from my stay at Sonesta Hotel. Security and safety were good for the downtown area. I have one suggestion, if there’s a group (convention/event) allow other guests to have late check-out without a fee being charged.

If you’re attracted by the pool…

My husband and I booked this stay specifically because it had an outdoor pool and we wanted to relax on the last leg of our trip. The pool was anything but relaxing. Pool guests played loud, inappropriate music with kids around. We even went back in the morning and it was a bit better, but overall you can tell the pool is not managed or controlled by any means. You’re supposed to have a wristband on to use the pool and almost everyone there didn’t have wristbands. The hotel room itself was nice and spacious, but the walls are thin. We heard chaos in the hallways happening around midnight, 1am. The hotel is very large, with 20+ floors so the elevators take a long time to go up and down - give yourself a few extra minutes whenever you’re coming and going. Overall, for just a 1 night stay, the price was right, and it was fine. But wouldn’t stay here again.

Property required repairs, so did our room. Bathroom drain was clogged and filled up the tub. Area was noisy and parking was extremely expensive. Valet drivers took a very long time to park our vehicle. Wouldn’t recommend.

Checked in around 10p after a lot of travel issues and immediately my key did not work. Not a huge deal but I was on the 21st floor so took extra time to fix. I booked this hotel at the last minute and one of the reasons I booked it is because there was food on site, but the bar was clearly closed and did not look like it had opened that day at all. Staff was helpful. Carpet in the room was very worn, but the bathroom was clean. The pictures did not reflect the overall experience, unfortunately and the value did not match the price.
