This unique apartment overlooks the town and is excellent for large groups, graduations, college events, business groups, families visiting the city, and much more!

A block away is the Septa Rail, which takes you to downtown Philadelphia and around town. Depending on the destination, it's about a 20-minute trip. It's great to see the city of Philadelphia without the traffic or parking! Speaking of parking, it includes two permitted parking spots, which are free all day and overnight!

The property is in a very cute, vibrant area with access to a variety of restaurants and stores. It was very close to the event we were in town for and the location is definitely the saving grace of this property. When we originally booked this place had great reviews, but when I checked back in prior to our visit I saw some not so great reviews. I’m echoing what the others are saying. It seemed very dirty. The carpets turned the bottom of our feet black, there was mold on the shower curtain, all of the bed sheets were either stained, or had crumbs or hair in them, there was a broken window in the sunroom area with glass all over the floor. I notified the owner as soon as we got there and noticed for liability reasons and it was never really acknowledged. Thankfully we noticed it before someone stepped in glass. The kitchen sink was very smelly, like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while and the bathroom sink on the main level was clogged. The owner was pretty communicative the few times I reached out, mainly with what seemed like automated responses but we got the answers we needed for the most part. This place has the potential to be a really cool rental, it just needs a serious cleaning and some updating. The pictures online are extremely misleading. It’s an awesome location, so it kinda felt like they know what they have there, so don’t worry about the appearance or cleanliness. We do come to the area to visit family frequently, but we wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

Host could not be contacted by myself or VRBO on day of checkin (door code was not provided). After 3 hours we ended up booking a new property and VRBO covered the additional costs for a last minute reservation.It’s a shame because the area is beautiful.

Location is the only reason to stay here.

The photos made the property seem very nice and just what we were looking for. However, after trying to communicate with the host for months before, to having to get VRBO involved, our stay was lacking in many things. We did not receive our entry code until just before we were to check in and were then given the wrong code. The property entrance is not well marked either.The interior is dim, humid and not as nice as the photos made it seem. Although similar elements are in the apartment, they did a great job editing photos. The whole place had a frat house/dorm vibe. Not very clean, not well stocked and definitely not maintained. We had window or portable air conditioning units in the bedrooms and one main living area, however, these could not all be turned on at the same time, due to the breakers being tripped. At 95 degree weather, this was an issue.We also could not use the microwave or coffeemaker for the same issues. We ended up finding an extension cord to make one ac unit work in the bedroom closest to the kitchen. Smoke detectors and fire extinguishers were either missing or expired. We expressed this and the electrical concerns to the host. He was supposed to have maintenance deliver these. They did not and he did not contact them. We know this because they showed up one morning due to one of the AC units overflowing and dripping into the salon below the apartment and confirmed that they were not contacted by the host.Location is great but there are issues!

Great location, apartment needs an update

Location is amazing. Great cafes and restaurants nearby. Easy access to Swarthmore college and SEPTA. Communication and check-in with host was difficult. We didn't get the door code until after our check-in time. The One-Portal did not update. The phone number listed for host on the VRBO portal was not accurate. The photos are the apartment, but they seem to have been staged and enhanced with studio lighting of some sort. It looks like a very bright apartment, but it is very dark. Upkeep of parts of the apartment (broken window) furniture falling apart, door missing doorknob etc. could be improved. All of the guests in our group felt like this apartment was college housing. The location and the number of bedrooms are the big advantages of this rental.
