Booked this hotel as we went to Dollywood for my wife’s birthday. Paid more than I should have due to the amenities of this place. One reason I chose this hotel as it had a full bar and a restaurant. Upon arrival neither were open nor did it look like they had been the first night.
We get to our room which was on. 4th floor. The shade did not work. Had to call service desk. They lady told wife there is no more king rooms available. So I speak to the lady and magically we are given the king room that is for people with a disability. That wasn’t told to us until we got the room. Just felt bad as what if a person in need actually needed that room.
The new room is 1/2 the size of the original and has no couch. Room was clean as was bathroom. Fridge was not turned on
I received a text the next morning indicating that they do not come in and service room unless you ask before 8pm the previous night. We were not told this at all or I would have requested it and would not have been an issue. This really was frustrating. Even motel 6 will come in and clean your room up and make the bed.
We get back to hotel from being out all day around 4pm fully expecting the bar and restaurant to be open. Nope. Was told my the girl at the desk they are not open this weekend as if it’s the standard. There were no notes in room or let us know when we got there saying this. Nothing.
Very disappointing and frustrating considering they advertise themselves as a boutique hotel
