Welcome to the Homestead at Horns Acres. Take a step back in time and enjoy our secluded family farmhouse. This heirloom home was built in 1926 by my Great Great Grandparents. The 4 bedroom/3 bath farmhouse offers spectacular open views including wooded acres, rolling hay fields, and natural water front (pond). Come and relax on the three season screened porch. Grill or smoke a meal while enjoying the views. Various Minnesota wildlife roam freely on the property. Property has sprawling yard for family entertainment. The homestead connects to Pillsbury state forest which boast many walking trails (unmarked) for your inner explorer. Gull Lake area is a short 20 minute scenic drive. Enjoy world class dining, golf, boating, spas, racing and entertainment in central Minnesota's playground, the Gull Lake Area.

If you are looking for something a little more unique try Leader MN Home of the Pig Races at the Bears Den. This always makes for an unforgettable evening of family entertainment

Hunters haven with Pillsbury forest a short walk from property and Meadowbrooke state wildlife management area 1.5 miles away. Property is nestled near many snowmobiles trails including Minnesota snowmobiling trail 258 and 120.

Heaven at the Farm

Brought me back in time when I visited my Uncle’s farm and could enjoy the woods, fields, animals, wildlife, and more but didn’t have to do chores. The house had all the modern conveniences (no AC) and easily accommodated our group of eight and could have handled more. We had sunshine and thunder storms, saw deer and wild turkey, grilled and roasted marshmallows around the fire pit. 100 percent the place to stay to experience quiet and solitude like nowhere else. Oh and our dogs enjoyed even more.

Most peaceful, relaxing getaway... ever?

Secluded is spot-on: I do not recall hearing a single sound other than birds and rainfall. No motors, no music, no chatter other than what came from us. Exactly what we were looking for in a quick unwind after wrapping up the school year. Arrived empty-handed, but were good to go after a trip to grocery store in Motley (not very far away -- 15 mins?) thanks to full kitchen with dishes, pots, etc. Plenty of room outside for kids to run around, wifi for when they just wanted to be lazy. All around a memorable decompress for all, will definitely be back!

Perfect for our Vacation

Very quiet and cute country house. Love the two living room areas. Great bedrooms, we didn't use all the bunk beds, but if you needed to that would be awesome. I wish there were 2 showers, but we made due. Fire pit is a great idea and plenty of room for outdoor games.

Little slice of Paradise

This is just what our family needed away from all the hustle and bustle of city life. It was clean and spacious and let’s not forget how Friendly the host, Bridgette is!! We will absolutely stay here again when I come home to visit my father.

End of the Road Peace

This old farmhouse at the end of the road was exactly what we needed. Peaceful, with room for the kids to run outside. Plenty of room inside for everyone to be comfortable. Room for the kids to play with their inside toys. With one bedroom on the main floor and three upstairs, there was room for everyone, and my mom didn't need to climb any stairs. Especially enjoyed the screen porch with rocking chairs and the firepit. Bridgette was quick to address any questions or concerns we had. Check-in and out was easy. Would stay here again.

Paul Bunyan trail

We stayed at the property to be in close proximity to the Paul Bunyan trail. The property fit the 10 adults and two kids just fine. Ample room to spread out. We enjoyed sitting outside and on the porch.
