Sycamore Cottage in Sutton Knob

Welcome to Sycamore Cottage, a private Sutton Knob home, with features your entire group will love! Begin your vacation the moment you start to drive up the mountain, and enjoy beautiful far reaching peak-a-boo vistas around every turn. Located only 10 minutes from the entrance to Pisgah National Forest, this high-end home has a downward-sloping driveway with space to park up to 3 cars. The main entrance of the home opens into the great room with high ceilings, large windows for tons of natural light, a wood-burning fireplace, a wall Scrabble board, plenty of comfortable seating, TV, and rustic touches. The dining area is off the living room and has a table with spaces for 6. The thoughtfully equipped kitchen is complete with stainless steel appliances, a standard coffee pot, and all the dishes, pots, and pans guests will need to create meals for their group.

The primary bedroom in Sycamore Cottage is located on the main level of the home and is complete with a king-sized bed, and a second TV. The ensuite primary bathroom is home to dual sinks and a shower. Two additional bedrooms and a loft space for remote work or games are located upstairs. Bedroom 2 boasts a king-sized bed and enjoys access to the hall bathroom with a single sink and shower/bathtub combo. Bedroom 3 is home to a king-sized bed and enjoys an ensuite bathroom with a single sink and shower/bathtub combo.

Sycamore Cottage guests can soak up the outdoors, without even leaving the home! Enjoy morning coffee or tea from the cozy screened-in porch off the main floor or cook out with the gas grill and enjoy the evening breeze. And as guests of the Sutton Knob community, Sycamore Cottage guests enjoy shared access to the green space within the community, which showcases the natural beauty Transylvania County offers. Scenic hiking trails within the development allow guests the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the outdoor experience and enjoy the views of the nearby Pisgah National Forest. The Meadows boasts two ponds, streams, and small waterfalls. The community pavilion and firepit are also available to guests of the Sycamore Cottage!

As your host during your stay, White Squirrel Realty is easy to reach by text or phone. Each home we manage is stocked with fresh, professionally laundered linens and supplies to make your stay comfortable. Confirmed guests will receive a text message to the cell phone on the reservation, with a link to the essential information needed to enjoy your stay, like the door code and directions. The digital guidebook has information on the property and also on the area, including restaurants, grocery stores, and popular destinations. Guests can go straight to the property they have reserved at check-in time.

Wonderful stay!

This was our 4th stay in Sutton Knob and first time at Sycamore cottage. Beautiful home with plenty of space. We enjoyed the giant Scrabble board and had some wonderful family breakfasts at the large dining table. We will be back soon!

Great Property close to Brevard

We had a wonderful stay. The house was well appointed and beautifully decorated. The only suggestion we would make is to add some kind of storage in the upstairs bedroom with the king bed. Without a dresser or some shelving, it was hard to store items that couldn’t go in the closet. White Squirrel Realty is very responsive and we will definitely want to rent again. Thanks!

Great Place to Stay

This home is adorable and was close to trails and to town. Beautiful area. We will stay here again. Suggestions: Some frying pans that aren't coated in Teflon, bring ice because there isn't an icemaker in the refrigerator, which is fine. Maybe a lamp in the Great Room.

BEAUTIFUL HOME GORGEOUS MOUNTAIN TOP LOCATION

We've stayed in many homes/cabins in NC and this was the nicest home by far. The drive up to the home is gorgeous. The screened in porch is so pleasant with a great view. Great room is huge and comfy. The beds are so good I want to buy that mattress for my home. Bathrooms new and fresh with stylish appointments. Kitchen is right out of restoration hardware. So nice. We loved it!!!!!

It was perfect!

Not single complaint to be found inside this modern mountain cottage. We visit Brevard every summer with our 3 kids and this gets my vote for the nicest rental we've had in 7 years. We normally rent in Connestee Falls but this rental is so close to Pisgah it makes it so easy to go on adventures and return home quickly without the long drive back to Connestee. Everything seemed brand new, the home, the bed & linens. It was all so comfy and cozy. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed our meals on the covered porch. I highly recommend.

Solace in Sycamore If you’re looking for the perfect balance between a natural retreat and soft luxury, stop scrolling and book this idyllic cottage. Nestled within the lush landscape of Sutton Knob, you can enjoy a morning brew on the porch, overlooking tree tops, teeming with fragrant fresh air and hummingbirds. Once you’ve clocked in a day of river wading, waterfall chasing, trout fishing, or one of Brevard’s sweet treats and good eats, coming home to such a chic and clean cabin is perfect, especially when you indulge in the spacious stand-up shower and fluffy bedding. Definitely making this cabin an annual stay!

Very nice home, driveway needs attention

The home is very nice, but a few things need attention. The driveway really needs improvement. With a large vehicle, we got a lot of "tires spinning" going up the steep gravel driveway. The clothes washer required us to continually use the "pause button" to get to fill with water. ( Possibly a sensor issue?) We couldn't find a kitchen sink stopper and were told that there was a Keurig coffee maker when there wasn't one. Prepare to bring your own ice as ice maker is not connected on the refrigerator. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and especially enjoyed the wall Scrabble board.
